A predictably complete beating. Anyone really think the Chargers had a chance? Only question now is whether the Pats will call off the dogs in the 2nd half and put in the back-up Qb to try and keep the score under 60. -- Al
I know it's early...
but Foles and the Eagles...
are shredding the Saints...
it's like they can do no wrong...
The Eagles let it slip away.
Looking towards next week, I have nothing against the NFC teams but I find the AFC teams more interesting; Saints and Rams as teams just don’t excite me but hopefully it will be a good game.
In either case, it will be the old master vs the young pup.
George...
KC is listed as a 3 point favorite on the opening Vegas line...
I for one don't see NE getting blown out in a rout...
The Saints shook of the rust and pulled the game out, the Rams will have no such luck next week, the Saints will come out on fire and that will be that.
The Patriots have virtually no shot next week, the combination of Mahomes and his crazy throws, the ability to scramble, the weapons at his disposal, the insane crowd noise they will have to deal with and most importantly, ref ball in full effect will mean the Chefs and fatso will advance with ease.
The Saints/Rams will be a shootout with the Saints winning, the Chefs will demolish the Patriots in a route.
Saints/Chefs will be a very entertaining Super Bowl, something I'll look forward to, best of luck to whoever wins, Brees gets his second or the Chefs win one for the first time in 49 years.
Looking at the long range forecast, the high temperature in Kansas City next Sunday is supposed to be 19 degrees. I feel like Brady has more experience playing in that type of weather. I know Mahomes did well yesterday in the cold but it was like 35 degrees. There's a big difference when it's 15. Might not be as easy to be chucking it all over the field.
As for the NFC, couldn't care less about either team. I wish the Eagles would've won so the game would've been at the LA Coliseum. I hate watching games from the ugly Superdome or any of the domes, doesn't look like football.
Agreed; football is meant to be played outside, not in a dome. Imagine if it was Iggles/Rams, it would be a sea of Iggles fans at the game because we all know about those diehard football fans in LA, first they let the team slip away to Anaheim, then St. Louis, what a rabid fan base, so deserving of a good team. Imagine if the Rams stunk, there would be 47 people in the stands.
They are calling for snow on Saturday in KC as well, I hope the field is a mess and not a fast track, we'll see what happens, plus kickoff is at 6:40, should be just wonderful conditions at night to boot...………...
I wondered if it would've been Rams - Chargers in the Super Bowl, would anybody actually go to the game?
Everybody keeps writing the Patriots off. As a Steelers fan I know, they're never dead. Brady will be playing like this when he's 58. I was watching a documentary on Joe Namath yesterday on HBO. QB's in the 60's and 70s got the hell beaten out of them. By the time they reached their late 30s they were shot. Guys like Brady and Brees never got beat up like that with the new rules and the quick short passes. They probably can play until their mid 40s.
Imagine two teams in a city that could give two ****s about football; if one more announcer said "I think San Diego...……...I mean Los Angeles...…………"......
Poor Joe, he's more famous for "I want to kiss you" than for the win in Super Bowl III. The NFL is a joke with the QB rules; can't hit them high, can't hit them low, can't land on them, I get it in that they are trying to protect the QB, but it's nuts...…………………...The Joe "turkey" Jones hit on Bradshaw where he pile drove him into the ground and Bradshaw flopped around on the ground like a fish out of water was probably the most vicious cheap shot I've ever seen.
