Another beaut mate,not my era but still enjoyable and im finding my buildings etc collection is getting larger and more expensive than the TS themselves.

Looks to be worth it though. I have a couple of their things, not as big as that. Very nice scene ^&cool

Cheers,

Brad

Very nice set up Robin {bravo}}

I have some great diorama pieces from JG Miniatures. John is a really good guy to deal with, it helps living in the UK and being able to collect them at the Shows :wink2:....the shipping to Australia must be a killer

Cheers

Martyn:)

Hi Randy,
I am tempted to guess it is one of JG Miniatures art masterpieces......^&grin^&confuse^&grin

Great original scene.

Adding up just the cost of the figures and tents alone is mind boggling.
Is that building one of the specials made locally for your collection?

Hi Randy, nice to hear from you. JG miniature as AC guessed, very nice building. The whole scene in my thread Time on my hands at last, works out to be around $5000. That's a second hand car in value, I must be crazy, but I love them, so it's worth it. They are not Gloss which is your speciality, but I get immense enjoyment from planning my diorama's, which are always bigger than Ben Hur in my mind, but fairly basic when finally laid out. Robin.

Yes you do have a cinematic touch. Perhaps akin to the work of David Lean. I have always enjoyed how you bring a variety of figures to your scenes.
I have quite a bit of matte figures and vehicles in my collection: K&C, JJD, WB, TGM.
The problem now a days is too many great things to choose from and like you I am eclectic in my tastes but especially love the desert and 19th and early 20th Century Colonial subjects which work well in both matte and gloss.

I forgot to include among my matte collection the wonderful work of Craig Pearce at Wilson Edward. Sadly Craig died too young and is greatly missed by collectors around the globe.
