That was a classic. Not used to seeing UNC make that kind of mistake at the end of the game, ie., not fouling. UK got fortunate when they gave up the 3 on the blown possesion and then missed the front end of the 1&1 to give UNC the chance to win on the last shot. Fortunately, the UK defense came through. -- Al

Thought the game really lived up to the hype, especially with the ending! :wink2: The turnover by Lamb might have lost the game but UK kept their composure at the close. Chris

Hey Chris, the Terps looked good yesterday in beating Notre Dame 78-71, with Stoglin racking up a game high 31 points. Terps let an 11 point lead dwindle to 1 in the second half, but did not fold under the pressure. Maybe Turgeon can do this job. Terps are now 4-3, a better record than I expected, so far. -- Al

Hi Al, I also think Turgeon will be good for the Terps. Stoglin looks awesome. He over penetrates and tries to do too much sometimes. But he makes the offense go with his drive to the basket. Chris

Hi Chris. UMd managed a pretty good win against Florida International last night, 65-61. Trailed at the half, Stoglin in foul trouble the 2nd half, the Terps put on a good defensive effort and won the game by hitting 22 of 32 foul shots. This puts UMd at 6-3 going into their winter break. Still, finding wins once the ACC season gets going is going to be a challenge. -- Al

Good morning Al. Funny, I was just going to post about the game when I saw your comment. I didn't know it was on ESPN until a friend (another fellow alum '69-'74 I didn't know at the time) texted me the half time score but we were out to dinner. Like you said it's going to be a tough conference season. And we're going to add Syracuse :rolleyes2:. They're going to have to improve a 66% FT to win conference games. I like the coach but will have to see how he does recruiting wise. Chris

Terps beat Radford by 5! {eek3} I dread the conference season! Oh well, I still have the UK Wildcats. :wink2: Chris

It wasn't a pretty or convincing win. Lots of work to do. I fear the Terps are just too undermanned to be real competitive during the ACC season. They do appear to be trying, though. -- Al

Terp conference play can cause team's to step up they're game! Do not give up they might surprise you. Go Cats

Chilly, I watched UofL "wins" against Collgege of Charleston and Western Ky. They will not get past Georgetown and UK. Go Cats! Chris

UofL lost to Georgetown as predicted. Now for the second part...they go down to UK today at noon. GO CATS!

Terps got another win to go to 9-3. Haven't looked too shabby the last couple of games but they are still trying to find the right combos. The new 7'1" guy isn't hurting the team, either. --Al

Saw that they had won. Still, I fear the start of the conference schedule. Have you been to the COMCAST Center Al? I would love to see a game there sometime. UM women's team is #5 Chris

Hi Chris. Just enjoying the wins while we can get them. I, too, fear the opening of ACC play, though not as much as in November.:wink2: I have never been out to the Comcast Center. Haven't been out to UMd in a long time.:redface2: I fear I would miss Cole FH way too much and I would probably be looking for Lefty the whole time.{sm3} Happy New Year. -- Al

Wake Forrest almost manages upset of Duke.

Al, MD vs NC State tommorrow night on ESPNU. May be fairly matched. Go TERPS! Chris

I'll be watching, Chris. UMd looks a lot better than they did early on, so they just might surprise a few teams. Might get 5 or so ACC wins, with any luck. -- Al

MD down by 6 at the half. To many forced shots and turnovers. They can do this! GO TERPS! Chris

Well Chris, at least UMd hung in there and made an exciting game of it. They will do better. -- Al

First loss in 10 games to the Wolfpack. Always want to beat them after Duke and NC. Need to do a better rebounding job. We lost it with all the offensive rebounds by NCS. Hope you're right Al. Chris
