8 1/2 minutes to go and Nova leads by 31! Never expected this, never figured OK to get stomped like this. Nova is much better than they are given credit for. Hard to believe OK beat Nova by 23 back in December. {eek3} -- Al

I never thought they would get roasted like this. With 6:30 they only have as many points as Villanova had in the first half.

NATURALLY, WHAT ELSE WOULD I EXPECT; OU DEMOLISHED THIS TEAM EARLIER IN THE YEAR, NOW THEY'RE GETTING BLOWN OUT IN THE REMATCH.

Just awesome, so glad I drove like a maniac to get home from the show I was at today to see OU down by 24 with about 10 minutes to go.

MASSIVE disappointment, but I've come to expect this in the NCAA Mens tournament; Houston loses to NC State, the Fab Five loses twice in the finals, the running rebels lose to Duke, OU loses to Kansas, Kentucky loses to Wisconsin in the semi finals................on and on it goes....................I'm out, could care less who wins the second game or the final...................

41 point lead. I'm just stunned. Of course, Nova did the same thing to Georgetown in '85, shooting over 70%. -- Al

I thought Nova was going to win. I just didn't think it would be that easy.

George, you're so predictable. You know you're going to be watching on Monday. What's a Mass boy doing rooting for the Okies anyway. Go East young man, go East.

Been a fan of OU football ever since I saw JC Watts run the option vs Arkansas in the Orange Bowl back in the 70's, loved the Sooner led teams with Switzer, been a long time fan, also pull for them in basketball, why not.

I like the Sooners, Michigan football, basketball and hockey, Kentucky basketball and Alabama football................

Not a fan of Villanova, Syracuse or North Carlina, so really, I'm not watching, have a ball.

OU isn't the same as they were then but if you're a fan, you're a fan. You have a better chance with the other three than OU.

Head East, young man! That's where the best teams are :wink2:

Looks like Nova vs NC on Monday. Go Wildcats!

Big East vs ACC. All is right with the b-ball world.:wink2: -- Al

Syracuse had a chance, down 74-64 with 2:50 left in the game. Then an NC 3-pointer finished them. From the 2:50 point, Syracuse scored just 2 points and lost 83-66. Plus, how can you expect to win hitting just 4-13 from the free throw line? NC's night. -- Al

OU isn't the same as they were then? They were just in the football semi finals this past year, ranked #4 in the country, Bob Stoops has done a superb job with the team, won a national championship and played for two or three others, they've been a national powerhouse for the better part of forty years.

They've been pretty good at basketball too.

They were on fire the past couple of weeks, lost their mojo sitting around for a week, that's the way sports goes sometimes................

Forgot about the semi final this year, sorry. They've been a power but I can't recall if they have won anything to show for it. Never been a big fan of them or the conference they're in.

Glad that Nova won last night, won't hide that.

Probably should add that it's Nebraska, not Oklahoma, that I don't care for, but, again, not a fan of that conference. Obviously Bud Wilkinson was a great coach in their halcyon days, as was Chuck Fairbanks.

Miraculously, incredibly, I've moved up to 6th in my brackets and if Villanova wins it, I should win it as everyone above me has picked a different team. No money though. The organizers decided the proceeds would be donated to charity. You know how it is in corporate America ^&grin

I just watched a few minutes of the U Conn Oregon Women's Semi as I used to root for U Conn because I lived in Connecticut for 12 years but because of the way they dominate the game now I root for their opponents. I just don't think it's good for the game. I'm sure it's the same way people felt about UCLA in their heyday

They had this very discussion earlier in the week here on Boston sports talk radio and how much of a joke it is; UConn has their pick of all the best womens players in the country, they dominate everyone they play and win by 20, 30 or 40; B-O-R-I-N-G...................

I don't see how Villanova is going to hang with UNC. They're just too good. They're doing their darnedest but UNC has just too much firepower.

Good game, back and forth. Looks to go to the wire. -- Al
