Trophy of Wales Boer War...One of our Trophy collectors will fill in the set #..Michael

Someone will have the info. It looks like a very nice set.

I am not sure if that is a set or a mix of pieces from different sets.
I agree EQ 38 but that never had a red cross badge on it.
The chap with the pail usually comes with a small water cart and the sitting down figures look like they come from the Camp kitchen set.
Martyn may have some ideas.

Here's my EQ38 with AWZ in lieu of ABW... I fixed the damage:eek::mad::D

I tend to agree with Damian, I don’t think it started life as a set

The figures and wagon look like they come from various sets .

I will have a better look and check back later, just off out to the Militaria Fair at Chatham Dockyard it’s 0530hrs here in the UK, I must be mad:eek:

Cheers

Martyn:)

The more I look at this set the more I am convinced it is the Boer War version of EQ38 with an Ambulance cover and mule added, although I am not 100% sure the mule is made by Trophy.

The Indian handler replaces the native drover and it looks like there is another soldier seated on the tailgate of the wagon which would make a total of seven figures + two oxen + wagon + loose boxes, exactly the same complement as EQ38

Cheers

EQ38 did not have a wagon cover as you point out.
But what you say makes a deal of sense as always.
It is a lovely set either way.

Damian, It is a set I would definitely find room for in the old Toy Box;)

Thank you all for the help in identifying this set. When I purchased this, they came in Trophy boxes, but no set number(s) were present, and the set was sold as two different sets. It appears that these figures actually comprise one set -EQ38. As Martyn pointed out, there are seven figures in total with the two oxen and boxes. The wagon has a cover which I believe is of Trophy origin, but noticed the Red Cross was not painted on, but rather a sticker. Mike, thank you for the photo of your set, it was of enormous help - just one question, did your set for the AZW-EQ-38 set come with a covered wagon? Also, the set I purchased appears to be missing a yoke to attach the carriage with the oxen. Also want to thank Damian for your input - and have a question for you as well - are these Seaforths and would this set be appropriate for the Boer War or Sudan or Afghan campaings? Thanks again for all the replies and yes, I am happy to have this set in my "toy box."

Lawrence,
My set came with an uncovered GS wagon...
Mike

It has horses hooked up instead of the cattle, and has supports for a cover:confused:

Mike EQ 38 comes with oxen and is uncovered.
Larry the cover you have is Trophy and some came with the red cross stuck on rather than painted on.
Larry all the regiments you mentioned are Highland regiments and would have kilts.
The figures in the set represent an English line regiment.

Damian,
Thanks, I had the four horses extra to make the dio but you're right, the oxen should have been in span. Blame the veerloper!:D

Hi Lawrence

The set is a appropriate for all three campaigns, the British Regiment could be 66th (Afghan War), Yorks and Lancs (Sudan) or Somerset Light Infantry (Boer)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks for all the help and wanted to add the following. Was able to contact the seller and found the missing yoke, so it appears the set is complete. I believe the regiment is the Lincolnshire.

Bought this at a show. Trophy box had no set number or description. Guessing Egyptian Artillery - but not sure if the set is complete and as to what era. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
