New Catalogue 2008 (2 Viewers)

Ugh no catalog with the Standard . I'll get it arranged through The Club. The magazine has some interesting pics of the Museum line among others.

And Mark has a daughter; If you read this Mark, congrats and good luck with all the midnight feedings!

Hugh,

There is a Spinner rack for retailers but this is the only display cabinet. Can't see any Britains logos, but there again can't see the back.

Are you referring to something in the catalog that most of us have not seen yet? Do tell please.

Top figures to the left of the Confederate page posted by polar bear depicts two half undressed Rebs who have just waded across the Potomac....well it does in my catalogue!

Sorry I am little late to the dance, fellas. I didn't have internet access until this afternoon. All of the new figures in the 2008 catalog are fantastic!!! I am so glad that Britains finally produced a new artillery set!! I hope that a Continental artillery set is forthcoming later this year as well.

Richard, Ken, et al, you guys did an awesome job. I especially like that you made that AWI continental firing figure available as a single piece!!! You don't know how long I've been waiting for that particular figure to come out singularly. I hope some of the other AWI firing figures (the one kneeling) will available by itself soon too.

I also love the new figures in the Classics ranges. Many of them just made my wish list. We Britains collectors are off to a great start so far this year. I for one, couldn't be happier and can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds.

Thanks! A few years ago I was one of many folks in the living history community who worked on the new visitor's center film for the National Park at Antietam. One of the scenes we filmed was of the Confederates crossing the Potomac, including a six horse rig and a 3" Ordinance Rifle. It was pretty amazing to see at the time, and I stumbled across a few photos I have a short while back. I always wanted to do some Jonnie Rebs with the trousers rolled up and their shoes off. These along with the new flag and marching figures should build a nice display.

Hi All,

I have to say I too am thrilled with the latest offerings from Britains but my attention was immediately grabbed by the fantastic set of Indain Army Soldiers. I know I am probably a minority here but I am really quite excited that the great minds at Britains have decided to revisit the Indian Army and hope we will see many more in the not too distant future.

All the best

Dave

Hi Dave,

I just wanted to go on record saying I totally agree with you regarding the Indian Army figures. If you are a minority here, at least know there are two of us! I find the new Indian Army figures to be very, very exciting! I am certainly hoping for more such sets in the future.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Does anyone know when the new catalogs will be mailed? I live in NJ and have not gotten one yet.

I received mail indicating shipped on Feb 5th, but not sure if that was correct. I think they ship next week.

Dave and Pat I will be purchasing this Indain Army set. I was in London Bridge last weeek and was shown last year's archive sets of British Grenadiers. I thought they were only made for collectors club but these look like like they'll be available to the general public. I think there's only a limited amount sets made so if you want one, grab it quick.

No idea. I live in Illinois and haven't gotten mine. I could drive to Peosta and back in a day. Were are they being mailed from?

I also got an email on Feb 5th saying the catalog was being shipped by USPS in a large white envelope but it has not arrived yet in New Hampshire.

What I find really amazing and enjoy is the postings and the excitement of those who are awaiting the 2008 catalog and those who have received theirs. It's like listening and watching a bunch of little kids anticipating the arrival of Santa and can't wait for his arrival to open their packages. I can appreciate the excitement the catalog has generated. Can you imagine what I would sound and act like if it also include figures and set of the Zulu War Series.:);):);):rolleyes:The Lt.
