Yes we have 4 marching legionnaires in the pipeline, plus some mules and a heavy machine gun set - goodness where will it all end?!!!

Lets have no talk of ending Vicki. The mules and gun set are on my wish list. Kind of you to share this intel, always fun to look forward to things. :salute::^&cool, Robin.

That is one fine sculpt. I've got to get it for sure. One minor critique. The riders foot position
is a bit off. Unless he wants to get dragged. The ball of the riders foot should be on the stirrup
with heels pointed down. Not all the way in. Minor point. Well done. :salute::

You are every bit correct, after riding for 30 years, but still looks ok. If you can imagine the horse struggling thru sand hills maybe a boot full of stirrup maybe the way to go to retain a firm seat. The reason you use the ball of your foot is to lift out of the saddle in rhythm with the horse other than when walking. Going down steep drops, a boot full of stirrup occurred naturally due to gravity, so this officer looks ok if TG cannot change, IMHO. Robin.

blreed and robin~both of you are correct and make good points. It was the first thing I noticed about the figure too.But I thought it may have been deliberate to give the impression of tiredness(the horse is starting to drop his head a bit and the rider's foot is pointing down).

Just an observation on the foot position. I'm not sure this is actually a mounted officer, I believe he is a mounted legionary. So although the foot is in the position known as "home", it is a very is common mistake for an inexperienced rider, and would be for an infantryman on a horse!:)

That is a really nice sculpt. I don't collect this line, but this would be high on my "to get" list if I did.

Hi Wayne,

Any idea if these nice mounted soldiers will come with a standard Legion Kepi....The pith helmet really narrows down the number of engagements we can use these soldiers for, whereas if he cam ewith an option for a kepi we could have a much wider array of dio options!!!

Artillery Crazy check out the latest October releases, I think this is what you are after.{sm4}, Robin.
