With the upcoming new line to be released in 2010 by First Legion . I was just curious as to what my fellow First Legion fans would like to see . I have my hands full with the Napoleonic line ( which I'm totally addicted to ) and WWII line which is also hard to resist ;). It's coming whether we are ready or not and my wallet is already starting to sweat with anticipation :D

I think for colors and showcasing the talents of First Legion sculptors, I would like to see Mongols vs all of their enemies, Chinese, Arab, Turk, European, Indian. Or....
7 Years War in Europe with all of the different countries involved.

Maybe I'm imagining this but I thought Matt said there could be more than one which would make your wallet sweat even more. Well one thing is for sure. It will be something Mark collects.;):D For my tastes, something earlier than Napoleonics with swords and horses would be nice. How's that for narrowing it down?

So Bill you seem to know more...what is it? ;-)
I just know what Matt said to Mark in the British Dragoons thread.

Hi, Mark,
....Tell you what, save your money for now. I have a sneaking suspicion that within a few months you'll be able to order something from us that you are interested in. So save up and buy a few figures at that point that you'll be buying because they are a period that perhaps you want to collect. I think you'll be pleased with them.
...... ;)
Which when added to this
I've collected Crusaders,ACW,19th cen.colonial,vikings....
Mark
is a strong suggestion for something with swords and horses.;):D

In the poll that was created for "Next New Line" some months back, he had voted for French and Indian War, so add yet another possibility to the list. :D

Matt,
If you do FIW you know you got me and I will be buying them as I am inserting my foot into my mouth.:D.To be honest the other ranges I have collected would be iffy.
Mark

Mark
Well it is sure nice to have a new line dedicated to you.;):D

Matt has yet to do a North American subject?!
Well yet is very, very early in the company's life with three lines to date.;) While I have not so much interest in one, there are at least a couple on Mark's list.:D

I really don't think that it is high on the list, but I would like to see War of 1812. Some figures could cross over to the Napoleon line. There would be Regulars, Militia, Indians and even Pirates.

A good point; the cross over would be nice for sure.;)

I would like to see the West - (post civil war era - 1865 to appox 1910).. The possibilites are endless!! Native Americans, Mexican revolutionaries, outlaws, US Army, Horses, Trains, etc..

I would like the Spanish-American War and Boxer Rebellion.

Another plus with doing War of 1812 is that we could have British Marines

All the periods put forth so far sound pretty good to me , I know I'm probably the only vote for the Franco Prussian war but I don't think it has every been done in matte and I'd love to see it get the First Legion treatment. Being more realistic the Fredrick the Great era would be fantastic or how about the Crusades starting with the first and going through to the Teutonic Knights that would be years worth of releases . Rome and her wars would also be out of this world . My bank account would love to see something that i don't have any interest in as I'm trying to keep up with the Napoleonic line and the Stalingrad line . Its really cool to think about what will be coming and I'm sure whatever First legion decide to do next it will be done with all the Historic accuracy we have come to expect from their Great products.;)

Somehow I have the feeling that is not going to happen for me......;) Anyway it will all be Mark's fault.:D:D

This news is both exciting and dreaded, whatever the new line. Exciting because there is so much that I would love to see First Legion do. Even subjects or periods already covered by other manufacturers could be done so much better by FL.

However, I dread the news as well because my bank account will seriously suffer.....:)

I am fairly sure that my first choice of the American Revolution is probably not going to be the new line.
