Crimea please.....
Boy Rome would be great. EoI showed some promise with that period but that is now moot and their scale was relatively small, closer to 1/35 size. Conte's new winter series could be interesting but I don't think anyone would do this better than FL.Either of these would be great ideas, though my personal pick would be the AWI. Would love to see what First Legion would do with a Continental Line series.

H'mmm, now that might be an interesting choice. It spans some 800 years of conflict; the early period bordering on late Roman and the late blending into the Crusades. Also, it doesn't seem to get much attention in figures of this size and there are many colorful options. It also meets the chainmaille criterion and the cavalry was very interesting.I don't much about the period, but how about the Byzantine Wars? The soldiers seem to be colorful and Cataphracts would be an awesome subject for First Legion.

Alternatively, something with warriors in mail would be pretty hard to resist as well. I do love all the knights in armor epics like El Cid, Kingdom of Heaven, King Author, Ivanhoe, Robin Hood, Knights of the Round Table and even Prince Valliant. My credit card tells me I should probably wish for ACW or someone elses favorite, like the Crimea or Boxer Rebellion.
Rome versus Carthage would be my choice.
That would be a great choice as well; and a dangerous one for me. I think Matt said in the first part of this year so that leaves a rather large time frame. Maybe he will look in and give us an update.Rome versus Carthage would be my choice.
Whatever the new line is, I am beginning to fall into the trap of saving now for what might come out. Hope the 'reveal' is soon.

I am with you there mate. Imagine the detailing on helmets, shields and leather / metal armor. Of course the same could be said for the chainmail options.A Sand & Sandal range..........Romans for instance would be nicely rendered in FL's style.

I think I must differ slightly with those thoughts. I don't think they have a conscious desire not to be compatible but rather they concentrate on doing their figures as well as they can and that includes scale. They also do not need size differences to stand out; they do that simply with the detail and quality of their sculpting and painting. It is really first rate stuff; truly the best for the price.I agree with Gebhard on FL being a stand alone company.I don't think they want to be compatible with other companies figures. They want to stand out alone.I like the fact that their figures are a little smaller than others as you can fit more figures in a diorama and they look more in scales with things such as houses, trees, tanks, etc.
