New Sherman M4A1 75 mm Gold Edition (2 Viewers)

Very nice, great Diorama!

Where did you get the Figarti Medical Tent?

Man Carlos, yours is too awesome!!:cool::cool::cool: I can't wait until mine arrives (its scheduled to arrive December 3rd!!:D

Hey Carlos,
Good to see some of the scenics you got from me in Chicago being used. They look good along with the JG stuff too!
Hope to see you at the West Coaster.
Ken

It's nice seeing the shutter bug in you playing again Carlos and you've a very nice way of presenting your new additions to your collection. Great Dio Set up and photos along with the use of Ken's scenics bringing it all to life....The Lt.

Beautiful setup. Most impressed with the whole scene, and use of multi-manufacturers. That Sherman is very realistic looking. -- lancer

Thanks Njja:

It was a gift from Rick Wang, Figarti given to me at the Chicago Show for which I'm very grateful.

It's actually the original prototype painted and weathered by Mark Vuncannon, Build-A-Rama.

Thanks Ken.

Your evergreen tree base worked well with the rest of the diorama. The ground cover is a mixture of various mosses from the local craft store (e.g. Michaels) onto of a Dept. 56 moss roll.

You're right the there are some JG trees and shrubs mixed but there are two trees I've had from "Petite Pines Northern". They're great and can be reached at:

Looking forward to seeing you too at the Westcoaster.

Thanks Lancer and fmethorst.

It's always fun to set up new dioramas, play and share the experience.

Very Cool! Its always fun to have pieces with "special meaning" in your collection!

Its a great Diorama!

Anyone know? Have all the Shermans arrived at Treefrog yet??
Bill

Yes, I got an e-mail from Mandi that mine had arrived, and had been shipped to me, with tracking information. That's how I got the arrival date for mine.

My Snorkel Sherman came, and it is even better than I hoped!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool: First of all, I was given a choice of whether I wanted the Snorkels on or off, and I chose on, but thought it would also be cool to have them off. Imagine my pleasant suprise when the tank arrived, and the snorkels were removable!! Also, the tank came with a nice Ma Deuce .50 Caliber machine gun, another pleasant suprise, since the prototype did not have one. The workmanship is excellent, and it came on a nice wooden stand. If I was given the opportunity (and the economy had recovered to the point where I felt comfortable spending money on my collection), I would definitely buy another gold edition vehicle, as even at a base price of $350, they are worth the money.

I will take some digital photographs tomorrow, and send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me.

I just sent 6 photos of my Snorkel Sherman and another photo of the Honour Bound Cabinet in the Museum to Brad to post for me . . . :D

I just saw the photos and here you go! :)

Nice looking tank Louis. It's great that the snorkels are removal isn't it. Love the the rest of your HB collection too! I can't wait to see some dio with all of them in it.

Carlos

As nice as the HB backdrops are, wouldn't it be cool if they would produce a larger diorama base for sale?:cool: Or produce a series of modular backdrop bases, so they could be pieced together to make an entire street scene, with several different ruined buildings, and sections of wall, street lights and street signs? I would line both shelves of the HB cabinet with the modular backdrops (the cabinet already contains 4 different HB Backdrops), and set up an allied shelf and an axis shelf.
