Last night UPS delivered to my door a very large box containing amongst other items WB WWI sets #51016 WWI Trench Section w/Regimental Aid Station, #51017 WWI Trench Section No Man's Land, #51018 WWI Trench Section Latrine, #23031 Doctor, Orderly & Wounded, #23032 Walking Wounded, #23033 Stretcher Bearers w/Wounded, and 23050 Waiting to go Over the Top. All and all I am very pleased with everything. I do wish the trench sections would have fit tighter to each other to eliminate some of the obvious gaps between each section piece. This will be easily remedied for photo purpose once I acquire a software program that could be used to edit these flaws. In any event here is the first photo:

Shown here are parts of #51017 No Man's Land and #51018 Latrine. Also san be seen #23033 Stretche Bearer set and #23032 Walking Wouonded. #23050 Waiting to go Over the Top is also seen in lower right hand corner of photo.

This photo shows the covered part of #51016 Regimental Aid Post and also the Stretcher Bearer set.

A good view of #51018 Trench Section with Latrine, along with #23033 Stretcher Bearer set and #23032 Walking Wounded.

Hi Mike, these are very impressive indeed! ^&cool shame about the gaps between the sections, perhaps some putty and plastic soil sprinkled over them might help cover them up.

Jeff

Thanks everyone fo rall the "Likes"

Thanks Cameron . . . the box had a 31 pound shipping weight to give you an idea how big it was.

Thanks Chris . . . . My enthusiasm stems from my Grandfather and two Grand Uncles participation in WWI . . . . I have a large collection of their photos and mementos while inthe service in France 1917-1919.

Thank you very much Jeff. The gaps will easily be hidden with the right software and photographic tricks . . . . . which I don't have at the present time.

Mike,
Congratulations on your acquisition of such fantastic pieces! They are marvelous to behold.

Great sets Mike :salute:: I particularly like the Aid Station :wink2: {bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

Looks fantastic, I reckon plastic sand would be the answer to mending the joins. When I get time I will give it a go on mine. Your diorama inspires me to set mine out too.^&cool, Robin.

Looks fantastic, Robin.

Thankyou Robin . . . . . . The joints don't really bother me that much . . . So much of my enjoyment with my collection comes from photographing the various setups I create. If anything, the exposed joints/seams have made me decide to purchase a good software package such as Photo Shop that will allow the ability to hide these with photo editing techniques.

Has anyone tried to fix the gaps with the trench system?
Cheers
Dave

I have not tried that Dave. I think that would require making a more permanent dio than what I want to do. My plans to make this "fix" is to purchase photo editing software so that I can edit out the gaps before positng my photos . . . . . the magic of technology . . . .
:smile2: Mike
