Reminds me of my freshman year in college. On the eve of finals, someone pulled the alarm in the men's dorm at around 2 in the morning. Everyone troops out, including the women from the women's dorm, right next door. Fire engines come, etc., etc. Everybody goes back in and back to bed. 30 minutes later, the alarm goes off in the women's dorm and we run through the same drill again. Memorable night to be sure.

No, it wasn't me :wink2:

Thank God no more media days or daily reports filled with Lynch just sitting there for the rest of the week, I can't seem to remember a Superbowl with this much talent on both teams filled with more BS then any other Superbowl?? other then a game report once in awhile it was deflate gate, Lynch, Sherman, Grunk parties etc. show, the game can't get here fast enough...Sammy

Sammy:

You hit the nail on the head, I just want the game to get here so I can actually watch some football.

I for one think it is going to be an exciting game with great match-ups all over the place, especially the Patriot’s offense versus the Seahawk’s defense.

Just as pitching wins World Series titles, so defense wins SB titles and Seattle has the defense. I can see NE winning a close game just as I can see Seattle winning a close game but I think Seattle has the possibility of blowing NE out but I don't think NE can blow Seattle out. In my opinion, Seattle was lucky -- beyond lucky -- to win the NFC title game but sometimes you have games likes that on a way to a title. I don't believe you could tell much from that game just as you could not tell much from NE demolition of a poor team in the AFC title game.

If Seattle can stop the run -- which I think they can -- and Kam Chancellor can bottle up Gronkowski -- which I think he will -- Seattle will win. This will probably be a close one and I just see Lynch breaking free in the 4th Quarter. Generally, you can hold him for most of the game but eventually through his incredible spirit and refusal to be dominated, he breaks out. I see a Seattle victory. A lot of defense and some offense.

Seattle is a team that does not knock you out in the first quarter, they slowly choke the life out of you over four quarters, extremely physical defense with a hammer of a running back, a deadly combination. The sort of team that gives the Patriots the most trouble is a physical team like the 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014 Ravens and the 2010 Jets.

Seattle is cut from the same cloth. On defense, if the Patriots can control Lynch, keep Wilson in the pocket and force him to beat you through the air, they have a shot. On offense, if they can stop pressure up the middle and give Brady time, they should be ok; they need to establish the run to set up play action, Brady can't drop back 50 or 60 times and throw the ball, they need balance on offense to keep the Seattle defense honest.

Should be a great game, we'll see how it plays out...............

If they can control Lynch and run the ball, they should win. I think that will be key. Other than Lynch and maybe Wilson, there's nobody who really scares you on offense.

Lynch seems like a person with a chip on his shoulder. Maybe that's what makes the back he is. It's not like the Pats don't know him; he was in Buffalo for a few seasons.

I thought Francesa was going to have a conniption over Goodell's press conference: a lot of softball questions and BS or non-answers.

BS and non answers?

In other words, standard operating procedure for the NFL under Goodell's watch.

Basically. He was railing on Goodell's non-answer about Kraft's comments and his thoughts on what Lynch did this week. He also wasn't happy about all these questions about expansion, etc. His attitude was that a softball question was one less question that could be asked about something meaningful.

Our local paper had an article about a woman who is 'thrilled beyond belief' that she gets to go to the Super Bowl. To volunteer. With 10,000 other volunteers. To thank her for her service, the NFL:

- Pays her flight costs - oh wait, they don't
- Puts her up in a nice hotel - oh wait, not that either
- Give her some good grub - Nope
- Lets her into the game for free - nope, she won't even see the game, not even on TV
- Gives her a free shirt - BINGO!! That's one heckuva shirt!

So for a sporting event which makes the NFL billions, they bring in a team of volunteers to keep the costs down.

And people take them up on the offer.

Wow.

Wow.

StubHub has less than 20 tickets left that are less than $10,000.00 apiece...

I bet a lot of people would pay for their flight and accommodations for a ticket...

10,000 volunteers...what would that many people possibly be doing?

the stadium only holds 70,000 people...

Apparently there are people volunteering all over town to handle the crowds for the weekend. This lady won't even come close to the stadium in her time down there.

I thought you said she gets to go to the Superbowl...what do you think she is going to be doing?

She is in charge of concierge and information for two hotels.

lol...that's not an invitation to the Superbowl...that's an invitation to work in Arizona...^&grin...

this doesn't make any sense...is the NFL procuring free help for the local hotels?

the NFL found 10,000 people to go to Arizona and work for free and not even get to see the game live?
