NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

Pray that Chip Kelly doesn't become the Coach. My son wanted the GM fired. The expletives coming out of his mouth about Trent Balke can't be repeated here {eek3}

I think those expletives are now all part of the general vocabulary of every Niner fan.

I've been watching the NFL for a long, long, time and I am sure there are other examples, but I can't think of a team that went so far into the toilet so quickly, they went from three strait trips to the NFCCG with a trip to the Super Bowl in the middle of that run to a 500 team to a team in the dumpster.

What a train wreck.

And the guy they let go that coached them to those glory years took over a miserable Chiefs team and made them competitive again. Andy Reid is 31-17 in his three years with KC with 2 trips to the playoffs in his 3 years there.

Sometimes, the grass isn't greener on the other side.

I was talking about the 49ers, not the Iggles.

Kapernick could only work in the spread offense; he had his five minutes of fame. Several players got old and left or retired and several others retired. Harbaugh left. End of three year run.

Speaking of 49ers...remember too that they fired Alex smith who had a great year! The management of that team just completely went to bed for the past few years

............GO BRONCOS..........I just wanted to slide that one in real quick and early this morning.

Forecast for the Vikings/Seachickens game this weekend; temperature of 3 degrees, -1 at gametime.

No wonder they started playing in a dome and are building another one.

I'm all for HFA and all that, but that's insane, it will impact the quality of the game and that's never a good thing.

That's the way football is supposed to be played in January. I don't hear Packer fans asking for a dome.

Being from Texas, why not root for Texans or Cowboys, or were you a Broncos fan when you were a kid?

That's Alan Page weather. I remember when my poor LA Rams had to travel to the land of the Northmen during the playoffs back in the 1970s and 80s. It never turned out well. I feel more sorry for the fans who have to sit through a game like that. Bring on the hot chocolate and HDTV for me.

a lot of closed dome QB's really struggle in inclement weather...

Drew Brees is a good example...

much better in a closed dome...

home field advantage to an open stadium cold weather team in Decemeber...

is a huge advantage...

One other problem is that the Vikings are used to playing in a dome too as they played in one from 1982 through 2013. They have only been playing outside (at the University of Minnesota) for 2 seasons, which comes to 16 games. In other words this is not some franchise steeped in recent decades of playing in the snow.

I remember a playoff game at the old Vikings stadium in Bloomington when Roger heaved a prayer down the field and Drew Pearson pushed off on the defender and caught the game winning TD and the Vikings fans went bonkers, some guy in the upper deck threw a nip bottle and it drilled the ref off the coconut, poor guy.........................good thing Minnesota is called the Vikings have a Viking mascot and not the Highlanders with a Highlander mascot or else the guy would freeze his bagpipes off..........................

Jazz,

Lived in Denver for a spell as a kid, as my dad was in the Govt. The one and only Pro Game I ever went to was a Bronco game with Elway at the Helm. It was unbelievably cold and snowing during the game at Mile High, but I never forgot it. They were some tough players AND fans to boot.

I will root for the Cowboys again once Romo is replaced. The Texans...well just not excited about them.

John:

Great story as to why you cheer for the Broncos. I always like to hear why someone likes a team (beyond geography).

Best,
Jason

That's because Packer fans are a blend of unique/crazy? It's a trip if you ever make it to Lambeau tho! The tailgating is massive and there are guys without shirts and wearing shorts even now - saw some friends pics from this past Sunday's game of some fans like that!
