Jazz,

All I got is being a fan...I mean that's it...dat's all I got man! Plus, I am so surprised at the Peyton "He's all washed up" Manning attitude around here. I thought that he would be favored as the "come back kid" who is everyone is rooting for to make it to the Super Bowl...one last time.

But, I guess I was wrong as usual...

Hey Jazz have you watched "Making a Murderer" yet? Been waiting for you to weigh in señor on the other thread.

John from Texas

Hi John,
You have every right to be a fan! That is the fun part for me and none of us are alike in that manner. Truthfully, I like Peyton because he is a good role model, great QB, etc. AND I do hope he goes out in the best way possible and if that is in a SBowl, more power to him. I just think the critique needs to be said that his arm is suspect, however, in Mike Tomlin's own words - Greatest Playcaller in the game and that is more than true, so his arm strength may not matter much!

This story has already been written BY THE GINGER HAIRED STOOGE WHO RUNS THE LEAGUE, Sunday's Pat/Bronco game will be a close hard fought game all the way down until the very last drive, I don't care how dead Peyton's arm is he going to lead a last play drive for a game winning kick or touchdown AIDED BY SEVERAL BOGUS CALLS BY THE REFS, WHO ARE JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS and that's how it's gonna go down, all the stats about the Chief/Pat game you can toss that out with the Monday morning trash, as well as the Steeler/Bronco game, the NFL HAS ALREADY GOT THIS GAME IN THE BAG AND WILL not let Manning who has been benched, hurt, played poorly when he wasn't hurt go out like a loser, some how, some way the Manning lead Broncos win next Sunday, THANKS LARGELY TO THE CORUPT NFL...Sammy

There you go Sammy the Greek, I fixed your post for you..............:wink2:

Sammy...

we got a bet...

no line...

winner takes all...

Since George has been heavily involved in the NFL thread only fitting that any solider orderd by said winner from his shop as long as all parties agree? That way when the Pats lose he still marks 50 snappers and is a happy guy either way :)...Sammy

George…you gotta lay off the Boston radio sport’s shows…you’re developing more conspiracy theories than the CIA..^&grin

Peyton didn’t give himself up…he fell down untouched…jumped right back up and threw a strike…nothing illegal about that play…

Section 2 Dead Ball Article 1: Dead Ball Declared.

An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended:
(a) when a runner is contacted by a defensive player and touches the ground with any part of his body other than his hands or feet. The ball is dead the instant the runner touches the ground. A runner touching the ground with his hands or feet while in the grasp of an opponent may continue to advance; or
(b) when a runner is held or otherwise restrained so that his forward progress ends; or
(c) when a quarterback immediately drops to his knee (or simulates dropping to his knee) behind the line of scrimmage; or
(d) when a runner declares himself down by sliding feet first on the ground. The ball is dead the instant the runner touches the ground with anything other than his hands or his feet; or Note: Defenders are required to treat a sliding runner as they would a runner who is down

a) he wasn’t touched before he hit the ground…
b) he wasn’t restrained…
c) he didn’t drop to his knee…
d) he didn’t slide…

He just stumbled and immediately got back up…nothing illegal about that…one of the announcers mentioned that he thought he gave himself up…but immediately backed off that theory once they showed the replay…

Now with the premise that none of us cheat at solitaire…that was a legal play…anybody...no matter how biased should agree with that...

I don’t understand why you continue to berate him like a old dog that is ready to be euthanized…he led a heck of a rally to win the game…give the future Hall of Famer his props…why can't you like him?

With that said…I bet on Pittsburgh…so I hated that play…but it was legal…and there is no New Orleans juju at Mile High…there are no aliens…Jimma Hoffa wasn’t buried there…and the refs called a fair game…

Peyton called a very similar game to your boy Brady’s attack…short concise passes…not many throws over 10-20 yards with whatever YAC they can produce after the catch…it was effective…the biggest difference was that Peyton’s receivers dropped a ton of balls…not weak wobbling ducks…but good passes that him them square in the basket…

At the start of the 2nd quarter one of the announcers said his receivers had already dropped 6 passes…

All that said…I will agree with you that NE -3 is a bad line…and will jump on that is that’s the number my bookie puts up…NE won’t get a real test until they meet Carolina or Arizona…

Mike,
If you don't think the NFL has it in for the Patriots, then I don't know what to tell you.

The whole Deflategate thing was a witch hunt from jump, Brady suspended for four games for "being generally aware" that the balls were tampered with. No evidence was ever found, no smoking gun; I'd hate to go to prison if I'm trial for my life if I was accused of murder, there was no evidence I did it, but I was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for being "generally aware" that someone close to me was murdered.

The Patriots finished 12-4; if that suspension had not been overturned, without Brady for the first four games, they best they would have done IMO was 2-2, so now they finish 10-6. Based on the tiebreakers, the Jets also finished at 10-6 and would have won the division and the Patriots, instead of playing this week for the AFC Championship, would be at home.

Do you think that would have been fair Mike, because I sure as **** don't.

They also lost a 1st and 4th round draft pick; the team in the Wells report was found innocent and not guilty of any wrongdoing, yet the Ginger haired stooge who runs the league docked them two draft picks anyway.

And this thing is still not over as the league appealed the decision, they do not want to let this go.

Manning on the other hand, misses a year due to a severe neck injury, has three or four surgeries, then comes back with Denver and at age 38 HAS A CAREER YEAR, SETTING ALL SORTS OF PASSING RECORDS.

A story comes out that he used HGH and the media and the league buried the story faster than you can say "cover up."

Call me a conspiracy theorist all you want; watch the bag job that ensues Sunday so like Sammy the Greek said, Golden Boy Peyton gets one last shot at a Super Bowl.

Makes me sick to my stomach.

And thus the FBI stops by the Treefrog shop to bust us for gambling activities...{eek3}

Peter...

when no "odds" or "advantages" are included in the wager...

I don't think it's considered gambling by law...

more so a neighborly/friendly bet...

maybe one of our in-house attorneys can weigh in on this...

I may be wrong...
and if I am...

I am ready with your bail money if they make you the culprit...^&grin

George...

if you really think there is an NFL conspiracy to stifle NE...

there is nothing I can say that will remove that paranoia...

but if the "Ginger Haired Stooge"...as you call him...the almighty powerful OZ of the NFL...

is really in collusion with the referees or NFL to shut down NE...

they have done a pretty poor job of doing what you accuse them of...

so...when is this gonna happen?

when is Goodell and the NFL...
which according to you...
have it in for your Pats...
gonna shut down the Pats?

when will this start?
cause it doesn't seem to have started yet...

there is rarely a play in the NFL where the referee can't call a tic-tac penalty...
they could stop NE offense or defense anytime they wanted to...

so...when is this gonna take place...
after they win 20 Super Bowls in a row?

there's no conspiracy...
that's absurd...

and Goodell had to act on Deflategate...

the refs were notified that the balls were underweight...and they were...

you criticize him for moving slow on some things...
then criticize him for not moving on some things...
and then criticize him for acting fast on others...

I don't what to tell you...there is no conspiracy...

if New England does lose...
which I don't think they will...
I'm almost positive you're gonna blame it on the refs...the NFL and Goodell...

Nice to see a Steelers fan "liking" that post.

That's all kinds of awesome.

Didn't the Pats equipment guys confess to deflating the balls? That sounds like pretty good evidence. There is no way those lackeys touch the balls absent Brady's request. And they have sure been quiet. Either living on one of Brady's islands or given the Whitey Bulger treatment. The Pats were caught red handed on that one. They accepted the punishment and didn't appeal like Shady. What the punishment should have been for him might be an open question but Shady was stone cold guilty there and threw those guys under the bus.

NOR032
German Fallschirmjager Throwing Grenade

According to a couple of dealers that figure you want is "noodle-armed" as the throwing arm/grenade breaks quite often during shipping.

I just want to know, f it does break is it a fumble? Is his arm going forward?

{sm4}

Combat!

You sir are absolutely correct fine sir...It was The The New England "Whitey Bulger Bus Service" Patriots driven by Tom "BUS DRIVIN" Brady who threw the poor ole ball boys (probably earning minimum wage) unda da' bus. Yup. The Billion Dollar Franchise and the Mulit-Million Dollar Arm threw two hard working kids into "Deflate Gate" history.

Your right Combat, and it reminds me of the Welch-McCarthy exchange on 9 June 1954 during the McCarthy Hearings. Whereby Mr. Welch (who is just exasperated) tells McCarthy the following:

Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

And THATS how I viewed Deflate Gate, because NOBODY stepped up and defended the ball boys when everybody knows that Brady cheated! The Patriots, Pretty Boy Brady and those who supported/concealed it got over. Plain and simple. What a shame and what a sham of a guy. All he had to do at that press conference was say "I like my balls squishy and I'm sorry". That's it and he would of been forgiven. But nooooooo, and he now joins the ranks of the "Sports Cheaters Hall of Fame".

So, I am going to the West Side and visit the local curandera and have her light a candle for the Pats...the evil kind. Yeah that's right I'm going voodoo on this game. But, I still love Mike Miller even though he going for the "Cheater come out" Pats.
