NFL 2015 Season (4 Viewers)

George...

we all knew you were gonna watch it...

doesn't matter if NE is not in it...

you're too big a sport's fan to let it pass...

Well, Super Bowl fever is alive and well here in the UK too (for some of us). My daughter and her boyfriend (he is a big NFL fan and Rugby player) are off to watch the game live (on Big Screen TV) as part of his Birthday weekend, lucky boy!

We will be turning on to watch the game live from home this year and will be screaming the Panthers on, for no other reason than I have an old friend who lives in NC and is a huge fan himself, it helps make us feel closer to good friends who are many miles away I guess.

And the adverts, wow, some really good ones this year but, for me, as much as I love Steve Tyler and anything performance car related, the one for me is the Hyundai advert with Kevin Hart, just because he makes me laugh and really, that is what we all need to do. The R8 advert came close, great car, great imagery, the space race was a big part of my childhood and David Bowie as the sound track, boy, hit every emotion going.

To all my chums, mainly the Amercian ones, have a great Sunday and, if you are watching, a great Super Bowl 50!

Malcolm.:salute::

Malcolm,

You will be up rather late as the game doesn't start until 1130 pm your time! {eek3}

Heart will be cheering for the Broncos because Brandon Marshall did some charity work with our Denver office. But have a bad feeling it will be 38-14 Carolina

It is the last game of the year afterall.

Besides, like driving past a car crash, I can't help but look.

The closer it gets to gametime, the more I see more of a Alamo, Islandluana, Custers last stand, Camerone, Stalingrad, Dien Bien Phu scenario, with Peyton and the Donkos playing the part of the Texans, 24th foot, 7th cavalry, French Foreign Legion, 6th Army and French indochina forces respectively....................or as Clubber Lang predicted in his first fight with Rocky Balboa, "pain"....................

George...

I think Carolina will pull away for a comfortable win...

maybe not in explosive fashion...

but from lack of first downs by Denver and field positions from punts...

Carolina will will seize the better starting field position on most drives...

that should be a factor...

you know the line went back to 5-5 1/2 in Vegas...

Peyton is a sentimental favorite for sure and lot of people bet with their heart...

but hey man...

you gotta watch it...

it should be a pretty good game...

The only way I see this going South for Carolina is if they are over-confident and think they have the game won before they step on the field. The key to me is the Broncos offensive line against the Panthers front seven. If the Broncos can effectively run the ball and protect Peyton they have a chance. They have a huge advantage in the kicking game, so if the can avoid going 3-and-out they should hold the field position advantage. Play this game like the 1990 Giants played Super Bowl XXV against the favored Bills, using defense and the running game to keep Cam Newton on the sideline, use special teams to obtain field position, and above all else don't turn the ball over and they might pull it out. There are too many ifs, so I see the Panthers winning handily, but I hope I'm wrong.

Louis...

don't forget the Giants and Seahawk's game...
Carolina was blowing both teams away and let them both back in...
almost losing to NY...

Carolina sometimes has trouble protecting a league...

now I know Peyton Manning...
and Denver is not considered a high scoring come from behind offense...
but sometimes Carolina has difficulty protecting a lead...

even with that said...
like you mentioned...
and in my opinion also...
it's gonna take the "perfect storm" for Denver to win...^&grin

Mike,

If the Seahawks break out to a big lead, and force the Broncos to be one-dimensional (passing in an attempt to catch up) the Panther's front seven will pin back their ears and come, and Peyton will be in a world of hurt.

With the Giants, becoming one dimensional helped, because the Giants can't run the ball to save their life. If they hadn't wasted time with the run, they might not have fallen so far behind in the first place.

With the Seahawks, the Panthers changed the way they had played the first half, just trying to kill the clock, and made themselves one dimensional (only running the ball except on third-down), so the Seahawks were able to key on the run, and come back.

With the Cardinals, the Panthers figured it out and kept trying to score, making it impossible for Arizona to come back. They will do the same thing with the Broncos if they get a big lead, and blow Denver out.

Unless Peyton finds the fountain of youth, Denver's only chance is to keep within one score, run the ball, play great defense, and press the field position advantage their kicking game gives them. If they fall behind two scores its going to be a long and boring evening.

to all you Denver fans...and Peyton fans...

I want to go on record here saying I admire Peyton...and the Denver team...

they have had a great season...and have struggled though a lot of injuries to get this far...

Carolina on the other hand...has been pretty lucky with the injury ticket this year...

Peyton is a great Hall of Fame QB and I wish him the best here...

I was one of the 3-4 guys on here who predicted a New England blowout of Denver 2 weeks ago...

I thought the game would be a laugher...

and I missed the boat by a mile...

I know what Denver is capable of and if they get the production out of their defense like they did against New England...which is a tall order as Newton is way more mobile than Brady...then it's very possible Denver could win this game...I think it's gonna be one of the best defensive battles we have seen in a while in the Super Bowl...so enjoy the game...eat your pizza...eat your wings...eat your steak sandwiches...I'm going to watch it at a friend's house on a high definition projector and he's serving food "Texas BBQ style"...ribs...sausage...potato salad...etc...

I have heard a lot of people say that Denver won't be as successful as they were against the Pats because the Pats can't run the ball whereas that's a principal feature of the Carolina attack. However, Denver will not play the same defense against Carolina; it just wouldn't make any sense and they are smarter than that.

To me, as I've said before, the key is to limit the damage in the first quarter. If they do that, we'll have a game.

Ahhhh.........finally home!!! after cutting my share of steaks/chops/grinds all weekend I can relax and enjoy the fruits (steaks actually :)) of my labor, looking forward to when the game is over and we can move on to the 2016 NFL season, let's go Ravens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sammy

Broncos lead 10-0 after one. Not bad, but also not good. Remember SB XXII, the Broncos lead 10-0 after one over the Redskins and then they played the second quarter... -- Al

Good game. Denver's defense and kicking game have given them the halftime edge. The officiating crew has been pretty bad for an allegedly elite unit. The Panthers made a big mistake using the second challenge after losing the first one over a 7 yard difference. They have no challenges in the second half, which could really bite them.
