True but except for the first drive of the game Manning has done very little. If that keeps up, it will only be a matter of time before Carolina asserts itself.
 
Gee, so glad I decided to watch this craptacular game.

The whole game turned on that blown non reversal on Cotchery; THAT WAS A CATCH, THE BALL NEVER TOUCHED THE GROUND, SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CAROLINA FIRST DOWN.

But nope, they rule it incomplete, then two plays later, a strip sack TD, Denver.

NATURALLY.

Denver scores a whopping 13 points, 3 on a first drive field goal,l then a gift TD, then a gift field goal thanks to some moron who doesn't tackle the guy because he thinks it was a fair catch?

Carolina keeps turning the ball over, playing into Denver's strength.

Manning looks like crap, nice wounded duck he threw that should have been picked, then a boneheaded INT that killed a drive.

Newton has to step up, get out of the pocket and make some plays downfield.

God is this awful.
 
I agree Brad, which is why the first possession for each team in the third quarter is so important. To win the game, Denver needs to keep Carolina from scoring, then find a way to take a two score lead. If they can do yoga and use up some clock doing it, Denver's D might just pull this out. Let's see who makes the best half time adjustments. Here's one for Denver: when ever Manning goes under center, the Panther's D sells out for the run. Go play action and pass to the tight end where the linebackers would normally be up the seam, and you will be looking at a big play.
 
The halftime show epitomizes the worst in "music" in the 21st Century. Thank god for the remote.
 
Wow! The Panthers doink one off the upright, Denver drives down the field and hoes up 9. Now it's in the hands of their defense.
 
A pick, then a fumble luckily recovered by Denver. The defense holds. Cam Newton looks tight.
 
If Denver can beg, borrow or steal one more score, they are going to take the air out of the ball and rely on their defense.
 
Carolina has not given any indication they can turn this around and I don't think they will. Basically, what I thought would happen is taking place.
 
Man is Denver dumb. 1st and 10 at the 37. Run the ball 3 times, pick up 5 yards and kick a field goal. Instead they try to pass twice, Peyton fumbles twice, and the Panthers have the ball at the 50 yard line.
 
Denver's luck holds and they only give up 3. Now they desperately need any kind of score to go back up 2 scores and they will win.
 
I'm sure the winner and its fans will be happy with this game but it's just a terrible game to watch. No ebb or flow, no excitement. It just kind of moves along to its inevitable finish.
 
Denver D was too much for Panthers.

Congrats to John, Denver and all Denver fans.

Guess I was right for once!
 
There is an old and wise saying that goes "Defense wins Championships". How true it is. Denver made Brady look bad and tonight they made Newton look worse. Manning gets career win 200 and SB win #2. Great milestones to go out on. Congratulations Denver and the Old Man Manning. -- Al

Good God, that was pathetic.

Just like this ****show of a game.

This ranks up there with the 2005 Steelers/Seahawks and 1999 Ravens/Giants as the worst Super Bowl I've ever seen.

What a fraud 15-1 Carolina team, laying a gigantic egg in the Super Bowl.

Congrats to Denver.

Congrats to Manning; now please for the love of God RETIRE ALREADY, JUST GO AWAY.
 
Followed my horse all the way and as I said before the playoffs started Manning goes out a champ...better buy his defense free Pappa Johns for life...Sammy
