NFL 2015 Season (2 Viewers)

Actually as a Raiders fan (since the 70's) I have to put a plug in for Derek Carr. He has slid in under the radar (made the Pro Bowl) and had a good rookie season last year and showed solid improvement this year. With the Raiders having young offensive weapons like Cooper. They could surprise people next year.

That's a pretty good list. Brady is something else, 38 years old and still playing at a very high level, pretty amazing. They need to find a running game to take the pressure off of him. Not sure about Russell Wilson, he makes some boneheaded decisions in the passing game, we'll see what he does without Lynch. I'd love to see Lynch on the Patriots, it would be Corey Dillon part II.

I think you need to shoehorn Luck in there somewhere, he was hurt most of the year, but he's a very good QB, maybe swap him out for Matt Ryan to keep it a top ten................

I left Luck off for the same reason I left Romo off, injuries. Healthy, both Luck and Romo would definitely be in the top ten.

Another blow for the fantasy industry: Citigroup will not process any more payments via debit or credit card for NY residents while litigation is outstanding. In addition, MLB says they reserve the right to terminate their agreements with DK and Fan Duel.

Time to pick. I like Denver 23-20 or 27-24.

The easy pick is Carolina and everyone is picking them so I will go the other way. So much of Carolina's success is predicated on the running game and I think the Broncos will find a way to control it, at least initially. If Denver can keep it close in the first half of even the 1st Q, they will have a great shot. Newton tends to sulk when things don't go his way so Denver needs to frustrate him early. Manning doesn't need to be the Manning of old -- not sure he could be anyway -- but just do enough.

This game reminds me a lot of Giants Buffalo. Top defense vs high powered offense. Broncos will need to keep Carolina offense off the field as much as possible. Carolina has a bit of the bully them. If you give the bully a bloody lip, he backs off.

I read an article a few weeks ago that the NFL...
is putting pressure on both Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones...
to sell off their financial stake in one of these online fantasy gaming company...
not sure which company...

Mike,

I think they have an interest in Draft Kings.

I think all these developments could kill these companies as presently constituted. However, I'm sure some other company, or one of these existing companies with proper controls, will emerge. I don't think the industry as a whole will die. There's just to much money to be made.

and it's not just brain damage...
a career in the NFL can destroy your body...
even if you're lucky to escape without permanent CTE...
Joe Montana woes...

Sacrificing the body to play football has always been a given. The disabilities and infirmities have always been known and accepted by the players, always hoping it would not happen to them. But CTE is a whole new ballgame and threatens the very future and existence of the NFL. Goodall cannot hide from it and his worthless platitudes are easily seen through. CTE must be addressed, not ignored as the NFL would wish, or the NFL will kill the Golden Goose. -- Al

Joe Montana woes...

Oh wow, 59 years old and has arthritis, a balky knee, a bad neck, and troublesome eye. Notice nothing about
bad lifestyle and eating habits . Cigarettes and alcohol. Three wives, partying, drug rumors. If he hadn't played
football he'd still be twenty. Life has many choices that affect people as they age.

I saw him in a restaurant many years ago in the Easy Bay being held up by two blonds. I was jealous.

yea...

just a balky knee...says he has had 6 surgeries on his balky knee...that's pretty balky...

and a bad neck...he's had 3 neck fusions and needs a fourth...

and that little troublesome eye thing..."Not dramatic...but just enough where you can't read or you have to refocus."

sounds like his eating habits to me too...

they will do that to your knee...neck and eyes...

too many chicken wings and pizza I would suppose...

oh yea...

and of course his bad lifestyle you mention...

having a bad lifestyle of being pounded for 15 years...
that might have something to do with it too...

This hits the nail right on the head.

All the Super Bowl commercials...

absolute hands down best commercial...and my favorite...

is the NFL commercial...

"Super Bowl Babies"...

sung to the music of "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal...

Skittles commercial is pretty funny too...but I'm a big fan of Steven Tyler...

I'm not picking Carolina. Sticking with Denver, I've been riding this horse the whole time and Peytons 4th quarter heroics tomorrow will send him out a Champ....Sammy

I'd like to see Manning go out a winner, so GO DENVER! We'll see. -- Al

Well, Super Bowl fever is alive and well here in the UK too (for some of us). My daughter and her boyfriend (he is a big NFL fan and Rugby player) are off to watch the game live (on Big Screen TV) as part of his Birthday weekend, lucky boy!

We will be turning on to watch the game live from home this year and will be screaming the Panthers on, for no other reason than I have an old friend who lives in NC and is a huge fan himself, it helps make us feel closer to good friends who are many miles away I guess.

And the adverts, wow, some really good ones this year but, for me, as much as I love Steve Tyler and anything performance car related, the one for me is the Hyundai advert with Kevin Hart, just because he makes me laugh and really, that is what we all need to do. The R8 advert came close, great car, great imagery, the space race was a big part of my childhood and David Bowie as the sound track, boy, hit every emotion going.

To all my chums, mainly the Amercian ones, have a great Sunday and, if you are watching, a great Super Bowl 50!

Malcolm.:salute::

Got the call earlier today, several of us are getting together for this, so I'm in.

Will be great to see Brady get acknowledged as a Super Bowl MVP during the pregame ceremony, Lady GaGa sing the National anthem and Cold Play perform at halftime. On a wargaming forum I'm a member of, one of the members asked who Cold Play is, another member replied "I asked my daughter as I don't have a clue either, she said they are some "unknown" musical group.

What?

80 million records sold worldwide, 8 Brit awards including British band of the year 3 times and 7 Grammys.

Unknown?

Yikes.

I'm a huge fan of the band, they are very good IMO.

Oh and the food will be good too.

As far as the actual game.................................................................yeah, whatever.
