NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

Hardees; good Christ..............i ate there once, that was enough.

If push came to shove, I'd rather commit a crime and be thrown in jail and get prison food for a meal than eat there again, just God awful.

Making a **** ton of money selling food does not mean said food is any good, see Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, they all sell food and make loads of money, yet what they sell is pure and utter garbage.

I avoid fast food like most people who have the time and money to make healthier food choices. Of course. But I still eat it at times. So do hundreds of millions of other people around the world. I'm pretty confident you do too -- and will again. Moreover, I don't think one Hardess visit is enough to declare a preference for prison food. Then again, I've never had prison food. Enlighten me.

He did more than sell crappy food. He ran a business or two that were extremely successful, enough to put him in position of tremendous wealth. Meanwhile he also created many employment opportunities, careers and wealth for others who worked or did business with or through him. From my perspective, as a virulently pro capitalist type, that's ****ed impressive.

Allright Already! I signed off last night, but Good Lord the meshugas does not stop on this thread! Man we went from congrats to condemnation to hail to hate to reminiscing to replacing. From riding into sunsets to sorry stadiums to scum bag NFL owners. Man you would think this is an anti NFL thread.

I was listening to the local sports radio (which I never do) and those guys were nit picking every single play, pass, call, possible fart, look on someones face and grass blade. This Super Bowl made NOBODY happy. There is nothing but negative waves man:

I'm happy though...

GO BRONCOS!

PS: Hey thanks Rut for the Positive waves man.

No, I don't eat fast food.

Never took to it.

Prison/jail food; pretty bland, no bells or whistles, but nothing processed or loaded with chemicals. Nothing loaded with sugar or salt.

Convicts usually die of old age or getting shanked, not sky high cholesterol, blood pressure, heart attacks or strokes.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the food, which is quite irrelevant. He built something out of nothing. You two seem to have a problem with that and the anti Southern bias I'm seeing here is a little troubling.

So because I don't like Hardees, that's anti southern bias?

Not sure what me not liking the food at Hardees has to do with anti southern bias.

The Hardees I ate at was in southern New Jersey, not the deep south.

Sammy, I look forward to your 2016 NFL thread to start in the next few months.

We're on to the off season.

I had to chuckle when I read this. My wife worked at a Hardee's while in high school, and she manages the lab at a large federal prison hospital (she is in the US Public Health Service). I know she would much prefer Hardee's.

Speaking of owners, I am glad to see Eddie Debartolo get elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

So prison food is locally sourced and basically organic? Not buying it. There are plenty of chemicals in prison food. Here are some facts.

"Suicide continued to be the leading cause of death in local jails (40 suicides per 100,000 jail inmates); however, the suicide rate declined 4% in 2012 and has declined 17% since 2000. Heart disease was the leading cause of illness-related deaths in local jails, increasing 14% in 2012.

Illness-related deaths accounted for over half (55%)
of all deaths in local jails in 2012. Heart disease (28%) continued to be the leading cause of illness-related deaths in local jails in 2012 (table 2).

Al...I like Eli...I actually admire him...but when they panned in on the Manning family...Eli looked positively jealous...the whole Manning clan was celebrating and Eli looked upset...I'm glad you saw it that way too and my imagination wasn't running away with itself...as did the guy who posted this pic on the Internet...

Eli Manning,

Jeeeeze.......Show just a bit of Happiness for your very own Brother that just won another Super Bowl. That picture says it all......Sad

MMMMmmmmm!!!!!! love me some Hardees country ham biscuits!!! but alas no Hardees in Arizona :( but as we turn the last page to the 2015/16 NFL Season thread it sure has been a blast hasn't it!!?? I can remember like it was yesterday...was Brady going to play in the first 4 games?? some experts picked my Ravens to win it all (Opps!!) how about the Packers Hail Mary to beat the Lions!! the Jets choking and losing on the last game of the regular season, Carolina comes out of no where and almost runs the table!!?? yup fellas been a fun season and a fun thread, congrats to Denver and before you know it it will be draft night and OTAS and pre-season soon after!!! George once said that I was the ultimate optimist which I take as a kind compliment because it's always been fun to be able to turn the page after a long terrible season or the thrill of a repeat and wipe the slate clean and say.."alright boys this is our season and this year we're gonna win it all!!!!!'' so we're off to 2016!!!...Sammy

When law school examinations time came, my girlfriend and I used to eat at Hardee's. It was quick and fast and we could get back to studying. After three years of that I haven't eaten at Hardee's since. Some memories are better left buried!

Good Lord.

Anyone who knows me understands my main source of humor is sarcasm, your meter must be broken.

You take too many things I say as sarcasm literally, ie, my comment about preferring prison food to Hardees was meant as sarcasm.

Ask Mike Miller, Jazzeum, Mike Estell, Brad from PA, Brad James, Gary Kuepfert, Jason from IL, Brian Dietz, Rich Schuster, Louis, Tom Dubel, Sammy, Lancer, Bob Jones, my faithful show sidekick Larry Allen or any other forum member who's met me in person and they'll tell you my main source of comedy is sarcasm.

Plus, my brother, uncle and cousin all served time, I'm sure none of them would prefer prison food to Hardees.

My comments about the Carolina owner; the guy looked miserable the one time they showed him on camera Sunday, like he was at a funeral, so again, if anything I said about him offended anyone, I'm sorry, good for him that he built something out of nothing and is a big success. I know how it feels to build something out of nothing, I'm proud of that too just like he's proud of what he did.

I'm sure there are loads of people out there who love his restaurants; good for them and again, fast food is not my cup of tea, sorry if that offends anyone.

Ok then................

We're on to the off season.

Gents,

Oh Good Lord we are onto Hardee's vs. Prison Food on the NFL thread. Fortunately, I have had neither. Man, this is one for the books. But, if I am looking to have ex-cons cook my food in the South that is lip smacking good...well nothing beats:

This thread is the funniest thing I have ever read!

PS: George has a great quote to sum up being a sports fan: "Its sports, the toy box of life". Let it be said, let it be written.

I appreciate the explanation, and I did wonder if you were speaking in jest. But it's very hard to tell when it's typed versus spoken, especially if you don't know the person. Happens frequently in the land we call the Internet.

One thing I do is add lol, haha or smiley emojis if I think there could be misunderstanding. I know it takes away from the sarcasm a bit but it helps the reader see between the lines.

Hardee's, Waffle House, and don't forget Cracker Barrel. Now that's good eating. Drat, now I'm hungry and I'm trapped by snow again with nothing but a Thomas' English muffin and a can of soup. {sm2} -- Al

Lancer,

Ooooooo, the Cracker Barrel....Yes:

Richardson is always dour when the camera pans on him. Always looks in pain. He had the same expression when his team was lighting up the Cards as when his team was getting savaged. At least with Jerry Jones, you can tell that, win or lose, he's whooping it up.

C'mon George, now I'm disappointed. I was going to break into the jails at Newark to check out the food. Bummer {eek3}

I got a notice yesterday from the M-E-T-S! that opening day is two months away. If George doesn't mind, we're off to Opening Day ^&cool Time begins on Opening Day

Man do I miss Waffle House! Best breakfast food anywhere!! And I can't even find a place that serves grits here in New York. Waffle House, What-A-Burger, really great pit barbecue and real Tex-Mex is what I miss from Texas food wise. But New York has unbelievable Italian, Chinese, Deli, etc., so I can't complain.
