NFL Season 2016-17 (1 Viewer)

The NFL is more interesting when Dallas is a good team, they truly are America's team. I remember those conference wars they had with San Francisco, they were epic in the early to mid 1990's. A Dallas/Seattle NFCCG would be epic, the winner of that game would be the Super Bowl favorite...............

they did a Timeline segment on the Cowboy/49ers rivalry last week...

very interesting...

two guys that really made a difference...were Haley and Deion...

I loved DeBartolo Jr....ultra competitive...he would do almost anything to win a championship...

lots of pre market cap games...who could buy the best team...

curious...

Stephen A. Smith...

does anybody like this guy?

personally...I can't stand him...biggest mouth and hater in the world...

probably has insulted every sports figure in the world in a wild rant at one time or another...

maybe that's his gimmick for success...a sport's shock jock...

said he was gonna boycott his own show cause he is so mad the Cowboys are having some success...

anybody like him?

No, I don't like him.

I don't like him, but loved his rant about Kaepernick when it came out that he didn't vote

Sammy...good luck today...should be a good game...seems like every week is our toughest opponent...

Hats off to the cowboys thank you from a Steelers fan. By the way Flacco is quoted as the ravens should have won the game. Not sure when you spend a good part of the game down 24-10 that is a relevant comment. Disclaimer that I have never liked the guy from a fans perspective , but I think he is responding to ray lewis calling him out. In my mind, large amount of irrelevant blah blah. Seemed like a solid cowboy win from what I saw.

Now, good news for the Steelers is their defense showed up today or else it may have been a real bad day.

Good game Mike....your boys are certainly as good as the record shows, my Ravens gave them all they could handle in the 1st half but the Cowboys owned them in the 2nd half. 6 games left and we're tied for 1st with the Steelers^&confuse what a strange season this has been in the AFC North.

Tom...

you're welcome...

congrats today on the win also...

and I read that article...

where he said...

"No kidding...we can beat this team...we should have won that game...we don't want a moral victory"...

not sure what he meant...and you might be right about Lewis's ragging on him spurring that comment...

Sammy...

I don't want to play ya'll again...

very stout against the run...a very scary defense...I'm jealous...

don't know how Elliott ended up with 97 yards...seems like every time he ran the ball...your guys stuffed him...

I am waiting for a QB to destroy their secondary...which is decimated...

just read Claiborne also broke part of his pelvis when he got knocked out of the Philly game Oct 30th and will probably be out the rest of the season...

with Church out still...2-4 weeks with a broken forearm...

and Scandrick still out til God knows when...they secondary is running on fumes...

can't believe someone has not torched their secondary yet...

speaking of running on fumes...counting today...Dallas has 3 games in 12 days...

Dallas just keeps winning, their offensive line is awesome, their rookie QB and RB are both the real deal.

I saw a stat that was a head scratcher; this 9 game winning streak they are on is the longest in team history?

What?

All of those great Dallas teams and none of them ripped off 9 wins in a row; very strange, but true.

Impressive win today at home, Redskins and Vikings up next, keep it going boys.................

George...

I heard that also...

you know...
we had a 2 game winning streak last year...
then Romo got hurt...:)

except for 2014...
it's been kind of lean down this way lately...

couple more wins this year...
we can get a wild card...

congrats today on NE's win...

I thought for sure those Jimmy Johnson Cowboys ripped off more than 9 in a row at any point during his run, but I guess not.

Love the video of him saying "How bout them Cowboys!!"................gives me chills to be honest, that's a real moment right there.

The Patriots played a sloppy game, only up 13-10 at the half, but pulled away in the second half, the Jets are up next.

Dallas is 100% a legit Super Bowl contender this year, Texas must be buzzing.................

George...I know that video of Johnson...seen it a million times...Jimmy Johnson's rant looks like he just gulped down a pitcher of purple dank...I hate that guy...

back then...I loved him...and I was mad when him and Jones (Cowboys) parted company...kind of like Kobe and Shaq...and to this day...neither will confirm that he was fired or quit...one fact is that he left with a generous 2 million dollar severance check...which back then was a ton of money...then went to Miami...replacing Miami legend Shula...where he had inherited one of the NFL's best offenses...Marino...and had mediocre success at best...

after reading article after article on his relationship with Jones...I grew to dislike Johnson in later years...I can see why Jones had had his fill with him...read this article...

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/11465560/bayless-jerry-jones-jimmy-johnson-dallas-cowboys

Skip Bayless wrote this article...I know he's a blowhard...still...he is the self proclaimed biggest Cowboy fan of all time and in my opinion is the the most knowledgeable public analyst when it comes to the Cowboys...

I would have parted company with him too if I were Jerry...he incessantly humiliated Jones often and publicly...threatened to quit and was prone to alcohol induced public tantrums demeaning Jones when sharing the Cowboy's success was discussed...

still...everybody hates Jerry Jones...even lots of old Cowboy fans...Tom Landry hanger ons...Johnson hanger ons..."what have you done for me lately" fans...people think he's a backwater bumpkin...doesn't have a clue what's happening...has no idea how to run a business...is a loud mouth blowhard...micro manages this team...over rides every decision made...but when they win...he gets no credit...when they lose...it's all his fault...

Jones is far from a dummy...he made his bones wildcatting...went broke a few times...then hit it big...went all in on the Cowboys for 150 million...and turned it into the most valuable sporting team in the world...worth well over 4 billion...that's like a 3,000% return on his money...even early Apple stock holders probably wish the Cowboys were traded publicly and they could of gotten some IPO's...in his 26-27 years owning the organization...of the 32 teams in the NFL...he has won 11% of all the Superbowls...which is well more than his share...

I watched some of the Pat's game...was surprised the 49ers were as competitive in the first half...even without Gronk...the Pats made some adjustments in the second half and breezed away...I looked at your schedule...other than Denver in Denver...which I don't think Siemian stands a chance...the Pats will run the table...probably going 14-2...home field all the way...

so when does Gronkowski return...I heard next week...if I punctured my lung...I wouldn't heal that fast...

I thought the Niners looked pretty good in the first half. However, as with most teams that are short on talent they faded in the second half. The Bears have the same problem. They looked very good in the first half yesterday but weren't able to keep it going. Injuries didn't help either.

Ouch... :):p

I didn't watch a single minute of the NFL this weekend but noticed the Rams failed to score two TDs even with the rookie QB they traded half their team for. And while sticking to those awful St. Louis uniforms instead of the old LA Rams unis. Awful. If you are going to lose, do so while looking good in the old blue and white uniforms or go back to St. Louis and torture Gary.

Can't believe they lost to Miami, were up 10 zip with about four and a half minutes left, they blew it.

And yes, I'll never understand why a team keeps their old uniform once they move, ****can that arena league uniform and go old school blue and white, how hard is that?

Stoopid.....................

Mike,
I'll defer to you for all things Cowboys; if there were hard feelings once they split and it's mostly due to Johnson, I'll take your word for it.

I remember vaguely when he went to Dallas from that hugely successful "Da U" college program in Miami, he was dumped on pretty good by some of the other teams, I think Dallas was 1-15 his first year there, the Iggles under Buddy Ryan if I am not mistaken opened up a can or whoopass on Dallas, targeted their kicker and ran up the score on them; again, I might be wrong, but I thought that was what happened.

He took his lumps, drafted well and built a powerhouse in bid D, was sorry to see him go as like you said, he stunk in Miami and Dallas went into a 20 or so year tailspin, glad they righted the ship finally.

As far as Gronk; he and his family call the shots, he'll come back when he's 100% healthy and not a second before.

I hope you are right about their schedule, they'll need HFA to get to the Super Bowl. They should beat the Jets twice and the Rams, but the Ravens give them fits, so that game will be a rockfight. Then Denver in Denver; it's a house of horrors for the Patriots, then Miami in Miami, always another rockfight.

If they finish 11-5, forget it, 12-4 won't get it done either, they have one more game to lose and still have HFA..............................

I don't think anyone was as disappointing as Green Bay...

their secondary makes the Dallas secondary look like Hall of Famers...

you can score on will against them...

they are really bad...

feel sorry for Rodgers...

he's in uncharted territory with that group...

Brad...you're a Jets fan...I don't see them play much or read their website...are they receptive to acquiring Romo?

yea...I think Buddy put a bounty on him...but you know how those Ryans are...hehehe...

George...

11-5 would probably win the conference...12-4 surely will...

I expect the Raiders to win tonight in Mexico...but later on...their on the road at Denver...San Diego and K.C....then the Colts...Bills and Panthers at home...tough schedule...

K.C. has an even tougher schedule...

10-6 could win it...but not likely...

still think you will go 14-2...

you will be favored in every game remaining...
