NFL Season 2016-17 (1 Viewer)

Going to be a good game Mike, Ravens coming in with the no. 1 defense in the league vs. the Cowboys great offense, if the Ravens can find some continuity on offense then they may have a shot, but if bad Flacco shows up all game it will be a long day, but in the end I believe it will be a good game that will come down to the final few possessions.

Sammy...

not looking forward to seeing Flacco...

especially "Good Flacco"...

I have said all year long that Dallas has no pass rush and no secondary...

the only way they can beat an accurate strong armed QB...is to out score them...

should be a good game...

good luck...

If the Jets can beat the Ravens -- and the Ravens are not a good team, sorry Sammy -- the Cowboys should not have an issue with the Ravens.

We'll see...that's what I'm hoping is the mind set of the Cowboys.

Brad...

sounds good on paper...

but in the NFL...

as you know...

anybody can beat anybody on any given day...

there are no sure things and the Cowboys are without their best 2 guys in the secondary for several more weeks...

if Flacco has protection in the pocket...

he can destroy their secondary...

You can never tell what will happen on any given Sunday. If you had told me the Giants would run the ball for three straight first downs to run out the clock against a good Bengals defense to hold a one point lead, I would have asked how much you had to drink, but they pulled it off last night.^&confuse I think they got more rushing yards in that last drive than the rest of the game. And the defense, which had 9 sacks all season coming into the game, had 5 sacks, 4 in the 4th quarter. Now the Giants have two games they should win easily hosting the Bears, and at the woeful Browns, and I would not at all be surprised if they blew at least one of them.:redface2:

Hold the presses! Louis is not complaining about the Gmen {eek3}

Louis...

I think all the Giants need is a better offensive line to pass and run block...

poor Eli gets rattled when harassed so often...as any QB does...

they are pretty complete on defense...or better than average...

when Eli has time...he's pretty effective...

Tom...

thanks...you're a good sport...

Big Ben looks healthy...400 yards passing...had a feeling he would torch the Cowboys...

Pittsburgh may run the table on what is left of their schedule...no worries for you...they will be in the playoffs...

hope Dallas can beat your division leader this week...

good luck...

We are rooting for you in steel town as we need someone else to "make our luck" for us this year.
Tom

sad for me...but finally putting 9 weeks of speculation to rest...

Tony Romo just gave his concession speech on ESPN in a somber, supportive press conference...

he said that "Dak is the man"...and that he has earned the spot as quarterback...

a very classy, humbling, and heartfelt speech...

well written and orated...that concludes this media frenzy distraction...

some will say he had no choice in the matter...which is true...but he seemed 100% sincere...and supportive of the decision...

must have been hard for him...very classy...

He needs to be ready if called upon, injuries can happen at anytime.

In the 2002 AFCCG in Pittsburg, Brady got his ankle rolled up and who came onto the field, Drew Bledsoe, he led the team to victory and on to the Super Bowl.

Without Bledsoe as the back up, I don't think they beat Pittsburg in that game........................so, just be ready Tony.

There's talk around here (NY) that Tony may come to the Jets next year.

Wow, I just listened to it and really am impressed.

My junior and senior years of college football both ended early due to injuries. Tony described many of my feelings so accurately. The guilt of letting your team down was immense and almost overwhelmed me. Several important men reached out to me and helped me get through it.

I think Tony put it much more eloquently than I could have at that time. I think it is really great to see someone putting their own wants aside for the needs of the team. For the first time years, I am proud to call myself a Cowboys fan. It is great that they are winning, but the class that I fell in love with in the Landry era appears to be returning.

Well Mr. Frodo, there is still good in the world.

Herm Edwards speculated on San Fran...

he won't come cheap if he leaves...

I don't think JJ will let him leave...

but if he lands on a team with a good defense...which he has never had...he could do something for them...

Mike,

I agree completely about the offensive line, which is why I was so thrilled in the draft when Laramie Tunsill fell to the Giants . . . but that remarkable judge of talent, Jerry Reese, chose Eli Appel, a second rate cornerback instead . . . another blown first round draft pick who will not be resigned to a second contract, just like his last first round corner, Prince Amakamura . . . which is why I tend to be so pessimistic about the G-Men:mad:

The NFL is more interesting when Dallas is a good team, they truly are America's team. I remember those conference wars they had with San Francisco, they were epic in the early to mid 1990's. A Dallas/Seattle NFCCG would be epic, the winner of that game would be the Super Bowl favorite...............

Good cheer sqaud as well mate ^&grin

Romo's move to preempt any QB controversy was the epitome of class.

If he wants to play next year with the hopes of getting a shot at the Super Bowl he will probably sign with Denver.

Yup, the rumor mill is pointing in that direction, Denver seems like the leader in the clubhouse for his services next year.

I read an article today that said...

"Considering the close relationship Romo and owner and general manager Jerry Jones have, the Cowboys would not deal Romo to just any team. They should ask him which teams he would be amenable to playing for and go from there."

from Romo's point of view...he thinks he can help a team and wants to play...but the article suggested that he would only want to be traded to a team that has a good defense and lacks the QB leadership to be a contender...a ready made team that just needs one or two pieces...

at best he has 1-2...tops 3 years...that's if he avoids injuries...

Jones has been very good and very loyal to Romo...I'm not sure he would trade him...and if so...he would be a pricey trade...

on the other hand...to free up 20 million in the cap...they really need help on defense and the resigning Martin and Leary...

it's a young cheap team...excluding Bryant's and Romo's salary...so maybe they can build on it and have some success for a few years...

when I think of Sanchez as the replacement if Prescott gets hurt...having Romo on the bench is quite a luxury...but a very expensive one...
