NHL Playoffs (2 Viewers)

B's were great last night, i think they will take game 7. Ana beat the wings so another game 7.

The Ducks are killing me! This was not suppose to be a close series?

I don,t know what to do? If Detroit wins the series which I think they will, they will play Chicago.
As a Blues fan I can,t stand either team! Both teams can,t lose!
I guess I,ll give the nod to Chicago to win since Detroit has been there so many times.
Speaking of Detroit, it just isn,t fair with the talent they have. Seems every one on that team is a star, except for their goaltending.

I am hoping the ducks win, hopefully its a good game, atleast it will be a 7pm ish start so good for us in the east.

Game sevens all around, good god what a play-off series. I told you George, don't count your Bruins out yet. Everyone except Chicago has got themself over the pickle barrel. By the way George nice pic of you and the Mrs.
Gary if the Wings lose I'll cheer for the Hawks, definately the cinderella team of the whole series. George if the Canes lose I'll even cheer for your Bruins, how's that. The only bad note on hockey is that I'm sure Chara is on some kind of illegal growth/ugly hormone, the guys a freak'n monster. :p Oh and the Walker sucker punch wasn't a good thing either.:(

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise CAPS Fans, feels like the 90s huh?????

Hilarious, the Pens win 3 in a row and then Game 7 and end the Caps season in usual fashion!

As a Terp (College Park, near DC) and a well known Pittsburgh fan, I feel like I am in College again basking in another Penguins victory over the "local" figure skaters.............

I am gloating while I can b/c as much as I hate to admit it, Sid the Kid and the other dude are not Lemieux and Jagr of the 90s.

It will be fun while it lasts! LETS GO PENS!

Well, they do have good scouts. Check out what rounds the stars were drafted. Lots of teams had chances to draft them.

I really wish people (specifically the media) would remember that there are more players on the Pens than Crosby. I get sick of hearing about him. Malkin had more points than Crosby...he led the league in scoring and plays better when Crosby isn't playing. I find it annoying. It's a team game. Besides, it's the 3rd and 4th lines that make all the difference in the playoffs.

I'm so conflicted. I really don't want to hear about Crosby anymore, but I know Dan Bylsma and want him to do well. I guess I'll just watch the games muted.

Can't really ask for a closer second round than three game sevens and one game six.

Yes but alot of players cant step it up in the playoffs, its all very well leading the league in scoring, but you dont get a ring for it. I would take crosby over malkin any day. Yes the wings do draft well.

Dont forget, Jagr did quite well in Super Mario's shadow, I think Malkin gets that benefit too of not being the focal point that the Kid is. And yes, Sid stepped up last night big time!

Wendy, you sound like the perfect wife! Very knowledgeable about hockey and likes toy soldiers.
Do you drink beer?
Gary

Lol, yes my wife will only watch if its the leafs, but not much as no playoffs for 4 yrs & they have been crap. Wish we would have been worse this yr to get in the bottom 3 for the draft. Hopefully we will sign some useful players in the summer. I think the leafs will draft schenns brother, if he is still there at 7

Guess ill be flipping channels tonight as both games are on the same time, but ill prob watch det v ana the most. Ana win & boston win :)

Hoping the Canes can get their act back together and win Game 7 tonight. I have a strong feeling the first team to score will get momentum and win this game. It has been a strange 7-game series (nothing like Canes-Devils, which was a classic). One OT game and the rest decided by 3 or 4 goals.

My husband thinks so (I hope!) :D He knew what he was getting into...we met playing drop-in hockey. The painting figures came along later. He's warmed up to that now a bit more.

Beer? Can stand the stuff... But then I don't really need the calories and it leaves more for everyone else. :)

Too bad the B's lost. Carolina seems to be playing pretty well. They just might make it to the finals. The Pens may be too accustomed to playing against the Caps D...

I had a bad vibe going into game 7 last night, folks around here were already putting it in the win column. The Bruins came out flat last night and lost as a result.

Two of their better puck moving defensemen were out of this series, one with an injured spleen and it cost them. They just kept dumping the puck in and chasing instead of attacking the net; when they attacked the net, they scored vs Ward all series long. The Whalers have 10 members of their team left over from their Stanley Cup winning team; in the playoffs, that is huge.

The long layoff between series cost them too and winning game 1 going away set them up for a fall. The Bruins are a young team, I hope they learn from this going forward.

The Whalers were the better team in 5 of the 7 games, the Bruins were the better team in 2 of them, end of story.

It was a nice ride, a great season, but the two teams with the best records in hockey are home watching the conference finals.

The Wings are looking good! I was impressed with only 1 minor penalty being called against Detroit. The D looked good against Chicagos studs.
I should just keep my mouth shut. Last time I said something the "Quack Attack" Ducks took Detroit to a nerve racking game 7.
I sure wish those Bruins could have pulled it off. I think the majority of hockey fans around here wanted to see a Det. vs. Bos matchup.

Yes the wings played well, cleary was great, 1 of the only players i like on that team, & draper. Looks like they will be in the final id say.

What happened to Chicago's Kane & Toews, they seemed to have vanished in game 1.
I wanted to root for Chicago, but found myself pulling for Detriot. They just have an awesome team.
Gary

The only way to beat Detroit is to hire a thug on your team and have him break Draper's face/jaw on the boards. Then you can advance and win the cup.

Take Care
