Tried to stay up to watch but had to go to bed. After the second period, I thought we were going to have a score-fest.

I think the layoff will be bad for them. Their coach will need to do something to avoid the rust. I learned last week that Bill Cowher's daughter is married to LA King Kevin Westgarth. Cowher has taken in a few games.

Holy crap, Rangers already down 3 zip. Can anyone say summer vacation?

Don't worry, I'm sure the Devils will fall asleep, try to sit on the lead and allow one of the cheapest, luckiest goals in playoff history to tie the game up.........................only to win it going away 5-3.......................that's my prediction, we'll see how it plays out.

Like the Bruins would do it? Oh, I forgot, they're on the Cape now.

Wait; you mean my prediction came true?

Wow, maybe I should dive into the stock market, I heard through the grapevine that Facebook stock is a sure thing/can't miss/cash out the 401k/rock solid/blue chip/slam dunk winner.

Nice try. You posted 40 minutes after the match was over. That's what FB shareholders -- maybe some who post on this Forum -- would like to do.

Don't worry Brad, I am sure the NHL will do everything in their power to ensure a game seven as a Kings/Devils finals would be a ratings and financial disaster for them, so watch for plenty of ticky tack penalties going the Rangers way in game 6............

The Rangers look beat to me. That was a huge loss after coming back to tie the game from 3-0. I don't see them winning the next two games. Even if they do it's going to be difficult to regroup for a rested Kings team.

Looks they plateaued after they tied it. I think that sometime happens after you spend a lot of energy getting yourself out of a big hole.

Where's Messier when we need him?

It's the match up the NHL wanted; Kings vs Devils.......................^&confuse

Well, at least Puddy is happy.

Just can't wait for the screen shots of all the celebrity yahoos who've now jumped on the Kings bandwagon........................

Would that include you?

A major disappointment

I'm not a celebrity.

The Rangers were mediocre in the playoffs this year and were lucky to get by Smoltzy and the Capitals, 10-10 isn't going to get it done.

They had an easy path to the Stanley Cup and they blew it.

Guess they'll be headed to the Hamptons now, or the Jersey Shore, or the Cape.

Take your pick.

Whoever wins the Cup, I'll be happy either way, should be a great series.

"I'm SO tired today"........."Yeah, me too"........."I think I'll have tuna for lunch today. "Hey did you hear about the Rangers and the Playoff's"..."I did, pretty cool huh"...Yeah and we got Smoltzy too"..."guess they'll be headed to the Hamptons now, or Jersy Shore, or the Cape"...........HAhhaahha^&grin

They play a grind it out kind of style and have a lot of trouble offensively. Richards didn't show up in this series and Boyle wasn't the same after he was concussed in the Senators series. However! They're fairly young and should be good for awhile.

Don't think I will watch the final. Back to baseball. Tour de France starts in a month and then Euro 2012.

We finally get the Stanley Cup series tonight. A huge game. The Kings have been red hot on the road and haven't trailed in a series. If they get game one it might be over. They are a confident team. If the Devils win though it will be interesting to see how the Kings play from behind.

Great win for the Kings last night. I tuned in to watch the news, found the game still on, in OT, and then saw the winning goal a few seconds later. I saw about the last minute of the game and I saw all that really mattered. I should have such good timing in real life.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Game one was not a thing of beauty. The Kings looked rusty. It didn't help that they apparently allowed the ice to melt into a choppy mess. The puck was bouncing around like a ping pong ball. They claim it was the humidity. I guess they don't have AC in NJ. It reminded me of the Celts back in the 80's playing the Lakers in the NBA finals. Turning off the AC until it was nearly 100 in the Garden to slow them down. Winning is winning though. Quick reminds me of some hybrid between Bruce Lee and an octopus in goal. It's going to be hard to beat them if he holds the Devils two or less goals like he has done for most of the playoffs.

Hate to break it to you, but the old Boston Garden did not have AC, they used the building from September through April/May and in those days, we didn't have the effed up weather we do now, 80 degrees in May and September, the Spring was the Spring back then, the Fall was the Fall...........

Missed the game as I was away on business but as I was driving back today I heard Pierre McGuire saying on WFAN that it seemed as if the Devils had a bit of a hangover from the Rangers series and that the expected a different match come this weekend.

Then maybe they turned the heat on in June when they played the Lakers. LOL. I remember those guys sweating like maniacs.
