Simply Superb Frank....Great Photogrraphy as usual of exceptional WWII Figures....FIRST LEGION RULES^&grin

Exceptional Dio. It looks about as "real" as you can get which to me says it all !!! {bravo}}

Some brillant photos Frank, when you have the quality of a First Legion soldier and the quality of some great terrain/background settings and photography work I just do not think it gets much better, wonderful display once again, I do want to know where did you get the hedgerow terrain from?...Sammy

Thanks guys,

I just received two new Hudson & Allen Hedgerow sections and I quickly put this together to see if it would work. In total I have 4 of Hudson & Allen hedgerow sectiorns. I have used them extensively in a wide variety of scenes as background foliage but this is the first time I've used them as actual hedgerows. I've said this before but the modularity of the H&A scenics is very useful for people like me who constantly assemble/disassemble scenes.

Frank mate,
Outstanding group of figures and Dios especially the Street Scene. How in the heck did not get rid of the figure bases????? Your photographic skills leave me totally in awe. They just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work.
Cheers Howard

Howard, He is good is he not?:wink2:.......... Frank....Fantastic Diorama work as usual{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}.....You are the man.........and FIRST LEGION RULES{sm4}

Frank,

The paras running is a fantastic photo, almost realistic, and would be great even if the bases were showing. Great use of the lens.

Brad

Glad you like them.

I've been playing a lot more with wide angle shots recently and I find it can really make the pics more immersive. As "wide angle" was explained to me in the past. "It's not about getting more of the scene in, it's about perspective and being drawn into the scene"

Howard,

Digitally painting our bases on a surface that has a pattern, such as this street and sidewalk, can be quite challenging, particularly when you want to maintain the subtle shading. It doesn't always work (at least not at my skill level) but when it does I think it can enhance the picture. In this case I used the "Clone Stamp" tool in Photoshop which allows you to sample a nearby area on the picture and "clone" it to another spot.

Frank

The street scene is simply amazing! Just like all your dios. Keep it up! Brad

I am amazed at the amount of clarity you can get with your pictures. They are the most realistic pics that I have ever seen. I feel like I'm at the end of the street watching that squad advance. Its always a pleasure to view your pics. Terrific job!!!
