Normandy 1944 (2 Viewers)

Finally my first batch of Waffen SS figures arrived. To get started I decided to setup a few different Normandy scenes.

The first scene features grenadiers from 17. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Götz von Berlichingen" encountering elements of the American 2nd Armored Division.

The second scene features a tank hunting team from "Götz von Berlichingen" ambushing an M4A1.

The last scene features Panzergrenadiers from 10. SS Panzer-Division "Frundsberg" reinforced by Tigers from schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102 attacking British positions in the vicinity of Hill 112.

Just catching up on your thread Frank... great mix of items and great compositions as usual.
Keep up the good work!
All the best,

Thanks guys

bradleyl30, the way I handle bases depends on the scene. If I can hide them (sand, snow, grass) then that is the first choice. If I can't hide them, such as a scene like this one, then I use the Photoshop Clone stamp tool to paint them out.

HB tiger? i dun understand this term... whats the brand of that tiger?

Fantastic pictures frank! !

HI Nyseplaya,
HB is short for Honour Bound that's who made that Tiger, Hope that helps . regards Gebhard

Frank, it is incredible how the grass and the back drop blend. Also, the lighting direction and how it casts shadows to match the back drop. I am assuming you removed teh bases as well. What did you use for the grass may I ask? Is it a mat? This is really amazing. Chris
