Excellent - the figures and the photography. Very tempting ....

Indeed they did arrive Frank, and in a spectacular way . . . . great way to start my morning while enjoying my first cup of coffee.

Thanks for sharing your talents and latest additions. Has given me some recommendations to chew on seeing how I am doing an Egyptian and Iraq war dio.
Never would have dreamed of the sand issue. Certainly got me to thinking.

Nice work!!!

Thanks for the positive comments.

Chris, I've really come to appreciate Google Earth (the downloadable program) when trying to create scenes such as this as it allows me to zoom in on the part of the world I'm interested in and view and download pictures taken there. You have to select the picture layer from the Layers box on the left for them to be displayed. Generally the more you zoom in the more picture links that are displayed. I suspect some areas of the world are better represented than others but I have found this tool very useful in finding background images for the Stalingrad and DAK ranges. and getting an appreciation of what it looks like on the ground in those areas.

Stay tuned on this thread as my DAK Pz.III arrived today and I hope to have something put together with it this weekend.

Frank,
This is great stuff. The blending of your dio with the backdrops is uncanny.

Darn ... I think I got a sunburn simply viewing the photos. Without question, you have mastered the art of Toy Soldier photography!!! Do you use a special camera and equipment or are the superb pica just using your talent!!!??
