November dispatches are up (1 Viewer)

What''s wrong with the "last Patton issues with another release of this general " could you share ?

The Patton family is still quite active in watching how GSP,jr is potrayed and they have either demanded lisence fees or with held permission for a number of toy soldier "George S. Patton's". As a public figure his image isn't copyrighted, but you can't combine the image and the name without the family's permission. K&C found that out with DD22 the "General Patton Command Car". That's why the last image of that famous American was part of a set titled "General Inspection" - no mention was made of WHICH general was doing the inspecting. I'm sure any new release with be handled similarly.

The old Monty Python "Nudge, nudge, wink, wink" bit comes to mind!

I like the new Civil War figures, however on what planet does this figure resemble Joshua Chamberlain ? K&C is usually spot on with their personality figures, but this one isn't even close. It's not like it is hard to find a picture of him.

Guy, Great job posting dispatches here on the forum :salute::

Looks like Another great release month for WWII collectors. I like the M20 , Arnhem figures with the new Bren Gun carrier, Cannon and crew and another General for those who missed the previous releases.
Happy for the ACW collectors got some new Rebels and union figures.

The bren gun carrier looks nice and its good to see the 75mm pack howitzer again but I'm rather dissapointed that the Market Garden (figure) range is obviously becoming an exclusive "Pathfinder" one - too pricey for me!

Great looking releases. I really like the Bulge M20. The Universal Carrier is also nice.

Think the Bren carrier will work well with the six pounder gun and crew , just a shame it taken so long to come out as I've sold all my mg range:redface2:but these new figures may make me start collecting the new stuff

Somewhat related, for those who care, the Confederate battle flag has a Cold Harbor battle honor. This was a July, 1864 engagement, therefore the standard cannot be used in a Gettysburg scenario. -- Al

Actually I believe it can. Cold Harbor was one of the initial names given to Gaines Mill. Also, sometimes referred to 1st Cold Harbor.

What a great set of figures

I'm loving these guys, they're superb. Great poses, colours and facial expressions and the gun-set and Bren Carrier are magic. All I have to do now is have a quiet word with Santa aka 'the wife' and meet all her wants and needs between now and the 25th.....{eek3}:wink2::tongue:{sm4}

I'm sure I'm not alone......??

Another good dispatches. Very impressed with the Light Horse that Australian collectors previewed at the K&C dinner in the middle of the year. That series just goes from strength to strength. The Bren gun carrier looks good, while the other additions to the Market Garden range must have collectors clearing a space under the Christmas tree. Congratulations K&C! Thanks Guy for posting the pictures.

Good to know. I've never heard Gaines Mill referred to that way. The 15th was in both battles and actually was more heavily involved at Gaines Mill than the 1864 Cold Harbor so the battle honor could well refer to Gaines Mill. Very interesting.:smile2: -- Al

The Gaines Mill (June 1862) and Cold Harbor (June 1864) battles almost sit on top of each other. Sadly, not much is preserved of each. But it is better preserved now than it was 20 years ago. So that is good.

Agree about Cold Harbor. I am pretty sure this is the 1862 battle. Parts of the Cold Harbor and Gaines Mills battlefields are in the same area, and I have seen it on early war flags before.

Brilliant bunch of figures, the ALH is of course the pick of them. I am so tempted to start collecting ACW...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! we will see. The paras are a close second and I reckon the A/Car bloke (standing) looks like Elvis after someone gave him a flat nose :rolleyes2:{sm3}
Wayne.

If you are going to start collecting ACW now is the time. You can buy them slowly around the other ranges you collect. I take it you will be getting the Market Garden figures and the Bren gun carrier? Do you have the 25 pounder or are you waiting for a desert one?
