Were those the Sudanese under the command of "Fighting Mac", Hector MacDonald, the ranker come general who saved Kitchener's bacon at Omdurman when Kitchener thought the battle was won and ordered his forces into marching formation for a triumphant entrance into the City, only to be attacked by several thousand Madhists hidden in a wadhi?

There were 3 Sudanese Battalions under MacDonalds command the 9th, 10th and 11th along with the 2nd Egyptians

There wasn't an actual figure released as MacDonald, I think the closest could be one of these two

Sounds like a good idea Martyn. The camera works fine, the only glitch is me ... that's what I have a problem getting to work properly. :tongue:

There's no doubt Bob that our good friend would. Our goal should be to get him to rejoin us on the forum to share his. Once again Martyn it's such a pleasure seeing what you've added to your toy soldier tresure chest an as alway my friend thanks for sharing them with us......Joe
