Ok guys... Matt has announced THE GLORY OF ROME line ( and they indeed look Glorious IMO ) which means there is still going to be two completely new lines introduced this year  Would anyone like to take a guess as to what they will be ?? Not that I really need another line to tempt me but it could be cool to look back on later to see if anyone guessed the two remaining lines correctly :salute:: ....Just for the record with this latest announcement I'm officially Hobby poor  . Regards Gebhard

I'll bet a West Front German WW2 theme so Americans can be introduced, just as DAK will allow British. My other guess would be WW1 Stosstruppen (or at least I would hope) :)

I,d love to see crimea primeraly or ww1 but it will be exciting
to see which way they expand regardless.

I dont know what would be the next line but as for new Napoleonic battle i guess
"Battle of the Pyramids" or Leipzig , either way i would be happy :salute::

I do remember Matt mentionned that he likes the Germans line on Market Garden, I will guess West Front. Another possibility is later stage of the war, Bragation, Kursk or even Berlin 1945, so we can recycle the Russians from Satalingrad.

Matt seemed to be interested in a Vlad Tepes era line but just starting one medieval line (The Crusades)I don't see that happening in the near future.Maybe WWII Pacific or Burma,FIW (too close to AWI),16th cen.Conquistadors Aztecs/Incas?Hard to say but at least one of the 2 new ones will be WWII or Napoleanic.

Matt seemed to have some interest in a WWII Italian campaign. Sevastopol would make a great complement to the Stalingrad line.

I'll take some of that action!! give me Western front WWII line please:):) seriously though when First Legion does some U.S. forces for WWII I think it will be one of the best lines out there, can't wait..hopefully not to long perhaps?...Sammy

Not to split hairs here, but would Western Front WW2 releases count as a new range or just an expansion of a current range? Don't get me wrong, some ETO Americans would probably pull me into the WW2 line. It's just that I thought the new lines would be completely new periods....

Your 100% correct Noah ,
Matt has said publicly on the forum that in addition to expansion in the WWII Line which we have already seen so far of the DAK and may still see more of there will also be expansion this year in the Napoleonic Line this year :)

There will be two completely NEW LINES still to come this year :wink2:

My Guesses will be .
1. The Seven Years War
2. WWI ( love to see an eastern Front theme done as I don't think anyone else has the stones to touch it )
Best regards Gebhard

The expansion of the Napoleonic line has been expected for some time and given Matt's irrepressible esteem for "le Petit Caporal", I think it is certain it will feature another continental battle, most likely between 1809 and 1812. Since the other main Napoleonic belligerents, Prussia and Russia, have already been introduced, logic suggests that means it may be time for the least successful Napoleonic adversary; you know the one with the beautiful queen.:wink2:^&grin While this carries little interest for me and I wish they would get on to the most popular part of the wars:p^&grin I would certainly buy the queen.;)

Now that would be different.

I would have thought something that plays to their detailed painting such as:

Greeks / Spartans or Knights and heraldry such as Agincourt which is different to Crusaders

Or perhaps more modern - Vietnam or Iraqi / Afghanistan? Surprised Vietnam is not more popular

Or a Victorian War such as NW Frontier / Indian Mutiny - huge scope there

I wonder is WWI really that popular?

I would like to see the Northern Crusades looked at. Possibly Lake Peipus. Then again I guess this could just be made into an expansion of an already existing Crusade line. Alexander the Great would also be something I would like to see.

How about the Spainish conquest of the New World complete with Aztecs, Mayans, Incas . . . . . that would certainly be colorful and would also be a definate new range . . . .

Gaz, Having been part of Vietnam, I can offer some observations about why it is not more popular. Internationally it was never popular. Here, it was extremely unpopular. Even most of us that were in it thought is was a bad idea from the beginning. There was not much glory and all too much of other things that many would prefer not to remember. WWI is probably similar in several respects but it was long enough ago that its details and bloody absurdities are less appreciated today and it is perceived as a defensive reaction to saving France, a large and relatively well known country, more than a question of saving a particular regime of a small country in the midst of a more distant and much less understood region.
