Thanks in no small part Rob's blogs are responsible for my participation on TREEFROG which I now probably spend more time on than actually viewing my collection! {sm3} He is always enthusiastic, open minded and I simply enjoy sharing this hobby with him. Perhaps someday we will meet and share our enthusiasm over a beverage instead of the internet.

That is awesome Andy! Rob is indeed as good as gold.:smile2: So very kind and enthusiastic, which makes this hobby and forum such great fun! Great thread

Guys, thanks so much for your comments, it means a lot. I just love this hobby and very much enjoy sharing it here on the forum. Its also been a pleasure to meet quite a few of you guys so far and as CFM says hopefully one I may get to meet many more of you over a drink or two. I've also never subscribed to the whole ' If you like one company you've got to hate the competition ' point of view. Life is too short for hatred of any kind but over something like TS's its frankly absurd!

Cheers guys....just realised...only six weeks until London!{bravo}}

I must say, well said!!

It seems we all collect at least a few if not quite a few lines. We all joke and poke fun at times. When it all comes down to it.....if there were not different and diversified toy soldier makers we would not be able to to acquire all areas of our interests!! Heck with as many as there are out there ...we still do not get every theater covered.

Keep it up for the hobby and the new guy that stumbles into this forum. If we are not attracting the young men.... our hobby may end.

Sincerely,

Ludwig!!

Rob,
I was out of town for a while so I wasn't checking on the forum as I normally do. I returned toady and was so pleased to see your promised UXB dio. Simply wonderful! Congratulations; the conception and the work and details are awesome!

'UXB Rob' - congratulations on a fantastic diorama - they are great sets and you've done a brilliant job to showcase them. Makes me want to order a few of these sets! Jameson

Jameson thats really good of you, if I can capture just 50% of the realism you get into your scenes I'll be very happy (that Trench scene of yours was stunning)

Rob, congrats on the well deserved recognition for your promotion of convivial TS collecting ^&cool ^&grin

And I share your views about those 'collectors' that continue their bitter hatred about differences of opinion over who makes the best Toy Soldier and other equally trivial matters. It really is a wonder why some of these guys are not pursuing a political career considering the amount of 'forum spin' they use on a day to day basis.
