What is one of them worth? They look great!
Once again apologies for the quality of the photos, taken with my ipod. First of all, let me say that the quality of many of these models is much better than the imported junk that I've found back home. Maybe not museum grade but still sufficiently detailed to make me stop and spend a lot of time looking. Now do you really want to know the price? OK, sit down
This large sailing ship at the front of the shop... $190... that's right one hundred and ninety bucks!!!!

I was actually interested in this incomplete Vietnamese Junk as it was about right, scale wise for my SOHK figures. And I liked that it had not yet been varnished. Whilst most of the western sailing ships are quite detailed and don't have layers of lacquer on them, for some reason all the Chinese and Viet Junks are heavily varnished and look cheap and nasty IMO. Also scale seemed to be a problem until I saw this one, which was only partially assembled, but with sufficient detail that it could come up really well. It measures 100cm long and approx 90cm high. The sails fold down for shipping/packaging and it weighs 5kg approx. OPENING price (before the negotiations could commence) was $50... Fifty bucks. I didn't begin to negotiate on a price because unfortunately I had not planned on finding anything like this and my travel arrangements are going to make it near impossible to carry or get it back into Oz. But I'm due back here in January so I'll be factoring a boat purchase into my plans for sure.
After all, these prices are absolutely unbelievable... and to think that I was seriously considering investing in the Figarti HMS Victory last year... which still would have cost more than double my expenses for this past week in Vietnam (including airfares) and buying that large ship. Unfortunately, for K&C, now that I have seen what is available and at what cost, I'm no longer that fussed about the Pirate Junk. I'd still like to see what Andy had in mind as no doubt it would be excellent and of course these models are for the ships only, not custom made with figures, but I've been waiting for so long without so much as a sneak peak as to what was in the offing that I started to look at building my own boat to suit the limitations of my display area and now I've found this. That's not to say I wouldn't be buying the K&C boat if it was to be released, but the options available to me have just opened up considerably, so the K&C boat would have to be absolutely amazing and priced to sell... which I think may be too big an ask.
And yes, these guys do aircraft as well, although I'm not sure how accurately they can reproduce specific types. They looked a bit amateurish to me. I think that you'd need to provide quite specific plans and dimensions. Price for the aircraft that they had which are approx 1/30 scale is $20.
