Prototype of Figarti G Prototype (1 Viewer)

I thought someone told me that FOV is no longer in production. Is that what you meant Neil?

I was told the Flying mule was buying FOV but that all I know on the subject and don't know if it happened ?

katana;72880 with First Legion figures. I consider this a reaction to the high price of FL armor. .[/QUOTE said:
I've got to ask the question could you show me a company that make c well detail armour cheaper than FL ?

To me FOV AFV look to small next to FL. Soldiers ,It would be great if you could post some photos with FL soldiers with FOV armour and it news to me that FOV not 1/32 scale or is that just your opinion ?

Numerious photos have been posted on the FOV and First legion thread of FL and FOV togather. I cannot post a photo for you because as I have stated before I do not own First Legion figures or armor. I consider Figarti armor equal or better and the current W. Britains figures equal or better and both for 30% less. I measured the FOV M26 and it is 1/31 scale. I placed a WB Fallschimjager next to an FOV Jagdpanther and sans base the figure is shorter than the rear deck; which is a compatable relationship. The WB FS is 60mm tall.

How can you say Figarti is better than First Legion when you never owned one ^&confuse also as you pointed out more than once Figarti is not a option at the moment with them not selling outside of China and nothing new in the last two years. Also in my personal opinion FOV AFV. do not work with FL figures in general

Minichamps; VStank, FOV, Figarti. You did not specify a scale!
Not in 1/30 scale ! Also minichamps , FOV and going by you figarti are all out of business and VS tanks are cheap 1/24 scale tanks so the answer no then ?

My personal opinion is that they are too small unless as background pieces. I have a couple of pieces such as a flakvierling and Opel Blitz that sit in the background and the small size gives the impression of depth.

I do think Katana and another poster did post a thread on FL figures and FoV vehicles. In a couple of angles they looked OK to me, but when viewed in close proximity and level the figures looked too big to me. But, I am a millimeter, bulk and rivet counter.

I guess you must also rule out K&C and TCS as they are now 1/28 scale. Not much left is there, except Thomas Gunn. A VStank Kingtiger is $150 US; not cheap and the detail is as good as a 1/35 model, better than any polystone. Plus the suspension and tracks actually work like a real Panzer. You cannot get any more realistic than that! 1/24 scale Panzers look very realistic next to the 68mm figures produced by K&C, TCS and TG; as I have shown in many posts and photos.

I have not posted any FOV photos; but I did post on the WB thread several photos with a WB Fallschirmjager next to A Figarti Panther G and Jagdpanzer IV. Also next to a TG Hetzer. FOV armor tends to vary in scale from vehicle to vehicle; much like K&C armor runs from 1/32 to 1/28.
Figarti can run on the small side at 1/31 and TG larger at 1/29; not a large error in either case.

I owned 1/24 VS King tiger Tank , there good but there not weathered and in my personal opinion don't work with kc and not in the same league as FL AFV for finish or detail but if your happy with them that all that matters

Fair point but I would add figarti 88mm gun and Opel fuel truck are on the small side where as the prime mover 1/28 scale and that where FL wins hands down as there stuff is all 1/30 scale shock horror

A company aquires another company to expand its capabilities and/or aquire expertise. Aquisition is often less expensive than developing the capability in house or farming it out to a subcontractor; where you are paying both overhead and the profit margin of the subcontractor. What capabilities and experience in production of polystone armor and artillery exist in house at W. Britains or First Legion? First Legion armor is built up from resin subassemblies; very similar to building a 1/35 scale model and equally labor intensive. Polystone is produced in molds and is less labor intensive. First Legion could lower the cost of its armor by adopting the techniques developed by Figarti and than expand its market and/or increase its profit margin. W. Britains would aquire an entire range of armor and artillery; plus the expertise to expand it. Figarti represents an opprtunity to established Toy Soldier companies and I feel sure someone is looking at the possibilities.

Absolutely disagree 100%!!! I hope First legion never goes polystone (which i'm sure they won't) be it a little more exspensive to buy a tank/vehicle and may have to wait a little longer for certain vehicles so be it, I like the detail/painting/style of First Legion vehicles, sorry katana the metal toy soldier world is a small slice of pie and I see no companies joining forces to please the masses, if Figarti can't succeed on their accord then they will most likely fold at some point...Sammy

The attached photos top to bottom: WB with TG Hetzer good compatability with 60mm figure.
Next photo 1/24 Tasca Panzer II with TCS, K&C 66-68mm figures and 70mm Tamiya figures.
Third photo Tamiya 1/25 scale early Tiger I with TCS, K&C, Figarti figures.
The fourth photo is of a VStank King Tiger with TCS and K&C 68mm figures which I consider very compatable in size. The Vstank uses the correct camouflage colors in a superb ambush pattern. The details are excellent seperately cast and applied tools, tow cables, spare tracks etc. Plus operating tracks and suspension, opening hatches, a Kommander figure, Kanone shells MG-42 etc. A very well done King Tiger. I sure do not think FL could make an equivalent model for the same price!

For a guy that doesn't even collect First Legion you seem to have plenty of opinions about a product you don't own?? just curious to know why??...Sammy

I consider FL overpriced compared with Figarti and W. Britains armor and figures respectively. Figarti and W. Britains are of equal quality to First legion IMHO. P1010451.JPGP1010452.JPG
