I wonder of there are any Trophy completists out there who have both sets.
Not until Martyn gets his set in the post...

Raymond,
Thank you, for posting the 2nd version. I am very tempted to jump in on the bidding. I just refiananced my mortgage, made the last car payment, so I have a little extra cash every month to play with. If I decide to jump into Trophy what better set to do it with.
I wish LL would do a major set like this, maybe Mike reads the forum.
Go for it Brian, here are the figures and building in the 1st version of Rorkes Drift Storehouse from 1991.
Firstly though here is a picture sent with the set
This is how I set my figures up for the photo
Here are close up shots of the figures.
First off the 11 VC winners
CHARD – BROMHEAD – DALTON and REYNOLDS
F. HITCH 1362 – H. HOOK 1373 (helping CONNOLLY) – J. WILLIAMS 1393 – W. JONES 593
R. JONES 716 – CPL W. ALLAN 1240 – CPL SCHIESS
Now the 4 who won the DSM, there is no Second-Corporal Michael McMahon(Army Hospital Corps) as his award was cancelled for desertion.
GNR CANTWELL 2076 – W. ROY 1542 – CPL ATTWOOD 24692 – C/SGT BOURNE 2459
Other personalities
ADENDORFF – BRYNE – CPL ANDERSON – TRP HUNTER
J. CHICK 1335 – REV SMITH – PIP – XHOSA – L SGT T. WILLIAMS 1328
Cheers
Martyn

Gentle Friends,
Keep the gloves on...$510 already on the first day!!?! I'll be watching this match from the sideline, to avoid getting bloody!
Mike
Is this the quiet before the storm ?
It's storming now! $1009 with 4 hrs to go!
Hawkeye,
I won the auction. I'm new to the forum. I reckon I'll get trounced for paying too much, but there was at least one other person who wanted this set almost as much as I did.
I started out 15 years ago scraping my allowances together to purchase the Hand to Hand Zulu and Boxer sets. Then I discovered girls and beer, and went to college. I've just recently gotten back into collecting toy soldiers. I'm kicking myself for not buying some of the larger sets years ago. I try to tell myself that the higher prices I'm paying are punishment for not focusing on Trophy years ago. On the other hand, I also find it hard to put a price on the most beautiful soldiers in the existence.
When I get the basement finished, I'll set up some dioramas and post my collection. My wife doesn't like my troops to set up camp around her religious statuary.
Dave
Mike,
She didn't appreciate it when my Boxer Rebellion French Marines set up a perimeter around Our Lady of Lourdes. Or when my Crimean Russian artillery bombarded her Christmas Village. Or when my WWI Tommies held her carolers at gun-point. Then again, maybe it's my fault.
Dave
Work on the basement and don't mess with the religous stuff - you don't want to tick off God or your wife
