This is another of Kim Jones' books on sculpting miniatures. This one focuses on the making of the accessories, complete with many detailed step-by-step photos.

Carrying on with my IR catalog. I noted that Mirof has a couple of IR catalogs on his wonderful website. Since I have already started uploading some of the pages here, I might as well finish it.
I think that there are several types of IR catalogs and they differ, depending on the IR newsletter included then.

There was this short-lived fanzine publication for many of the burgeoning figure modellers who were not satisfied with the present military armour publications. Initially published in b/w, it was a welcome stop-gap publication for me. Later issues came out in colour.

The Historical Figure Artist magazine segued into the Historical Miniature Art and Review Quarterly magazine. This was a more substantial affair with several pages in colour. However, It didn't last long and the publisher then went on to found Uniformology.com, a website which reprints old uniform plates on a desktop publishing platform.

I have a few Squadron/Signal books of which this remains my favourite copy. I've always enjoyed reading about the Vietnam war and this book has a nice potted history on the US Grunts supplemented by nice photos and rather attractive drawings.
