Very interesting point made about shipping charges for these new figures. Lighter weight will of course be cheaper to ship. A good thing. It is truly amazing how expensive here in the U.S. the post Office has become when mailing
boxes. I can't see how they always complain about money issues when they charge a mint to ship a decent size parcel ! A bit off topic but good valid point made about cheaper shipping charges for these new figures !

Wrong. Most dealers ship in Flat Rate Boxes, which USPS furnishes. There are several different
size boxes. Whatever fits inside ships for a flat rate regardless of the weight. There is an upper limit
of about twenty pounds for the larger boxes. Under that it doesn't matter on weight.

You probably need to brush up a bit on mailing.

Then there are other alternatives and break even points on weight.

I don't need to brush up on anything my dear friend. You are assuming that a lighter new product will be shipped using flat rate. Why would anyone pay flat rate when the items weigh half or less of what they used to.
Common sense says if something weighs half the weight of what it previously did, it will cost much less to ship. A very rude and comical post from you. Kind of goes with your comment about (P) figures.
I would tend to say someone shipping say 8 figures of the new material which is much lighter using "FLAT RATE" shipping is WRONG ! Hope you enjoy these new figures !
Obviously your comments are intended to do nothing more than hurl negative remarks around, which at this point needs to be directed elsewhere...

Well this is fun chaps!^&grin Just back from London and found this one. I look forward to seeing what K&C have up their sleeve next????^&grin:smile2: The reason I was in London was to meet a gentleman of this hobby who brought with him four figures for me of the P variety and man they are good!:salute:: Will put up pics and details elsewhere later . Of course everyone has their opinion and each to it, but I think them bloody fantastic and I'm in!!:salute::

Rob, Congrats on the New (P) figures. A few here seem to "Try" and poke holes at them but the rest of us know much better. Glad you are enjoying your new (P) figures Rob.....Enjoy !

Thanks mate. I have never worried what others think because I buy what I like, I'm afraid I only answer to myself when purchasing (ok maybe the wife too^&grin).

These new guys are well painted, realistic and crisp looking. They are going to look just fine with my others.

All the best PA and keep the scenes coming:salute::

Oh, if Jen said "Rob dear, I'm not sure I like those figures," I wonder what good ole Rob would do ^&grin

Rob probably wishes he could have been the dental hygienist in "Horrible Bosses" :wink2:

You are still wrong. The dealers I buy from use Flate Rate. Several size boxes to choose from. Of course
those big bulky designer boxes manufactures use take up space. I throw them away. So changing boxes
would save me more than lighter weight resin.

I guess your tag line is tongue-in-cheek.
This is after all a Toy Soldier Forum.......Can't we discuss this like adults

You mean the topic about which K&C has not made an announcement about yet and for which no images exist ?

Well OK since you insist.

I think they represent excellent value for money. Really like the sculpting, detail and paint work. Not sure about the scale though, 1/28, 1/29 or 1/30 is hard to tell as my imagination is not that exact. I can live with the muddy tracks on the $50 Tiger that looks just like a $220 one.

This new stuff is the absolute best ever no doubt about it.

Hope that helps.

Lots of assumptions and critiques based on scant facts.

This subject is a good example of "Chinese whispers".

Until such time as K&C announces the first items or makes an announcement about the intro line then what we have is various comments based on perhaps multiple conversations Andy has had in various places and also some 2nd hand versions. In some cases I suspect he may say more to some than to others. I have been present when Andy has said various things or answered certain questions and some of the subsequent comments on this forum were not how I understood what was said.

So far my favourite in this theme is those who seem to believe or expect there would be three versions of the same item which has been mentioned a few times in the past. As if there is not enough competition out there that Andy would set up lines that would dilute his collectors amongst three choices.

Anyway as the saying goes "keep calm and carry on".

Brett

Some very good discussions on toy soldiers production materials on this form and others. Instead of complaining about the scant information K&C has provided, consider it as a good general topic of interest to collectors. It would really show the state of the TS industry if there was no interest in this discussion. We will soon see what K&C plans to do - or not. It seems that changes are coming to the industry and not just to one company. I think it's a more interesting discussion than wild guesses on what will come in the next dispatches. Now there is rampant speculation on scant information.

Best post in the thread.

Whether it's mor interesting or not than the dispatches thread, it's about as accurate, which is to say, not really. While we're at it, perhaps we can deduce how many can dance on the head of a pin :rolleyes2:

Depends on the scale of the pin. And while we are at it, will the pin be historically accurate? How much will this pin cost? And just so that we stay on the topic, is this pin made out of resin? Will this pin qualify for flat rate shipping?

Some words of wisdom once again I see .

Re: Resin figures - Photographic Proof !

Hi everyone.... I was in at the Military Workshop today and Brett showed me the first releases of the new RESIN Figures that King & Country have not produced and that no one knows anything about... I was so taken by the camouflage painting I purchased all four of them in this nice display case... As you can all see the camouflage paintwork is exceptional and they literally blend in to any background quite well. That said I'm not sure weather they are 1:28.53476 or 1:30... I'll let you all decide...

cheers
Marc
