Re: Resin figures - Photographic Proof !

Hi everyone.... I was in at the Military Workshop today and Brett showed me the first releases of the new RESIN Figures that King & Country have not produced and that no one knows anything about... I was so taken by the camouflage painting I purchased all four of them in this nice display case... As you can all see the camouflage paintwork is exceptional and they literally blend in to any background quite well. That said I'm not sure weather they are 1:28.53476 or 1:30... I'll let you all decide...:cool:

cheers
Marc

Look TomB, I hate to correct you but it's only the 2 on the left which are the new "P" paint style... the 2 on the right are just the standard priced painting.... surely you can see that.... {sm3}

Cheers

I just found this thread and skimmed thru it so if I,m repeating something sorry.
On the topic of plastic or resin figures being done by K&C I asked Andy that exact question at OTSN as another dealer mentioned he had heard something about it.
Para phrasing, Andy said work has already begun on plastic or resin, I can,t recall which, for K&C. He said the figures would be the same scale as his metal and painted. There would also be vehicles. He used the term "filler" in describing the use of this new line. Meaning people could buy multiples. He said they would be cheaper but did not elaborate on a price point.. He did not mention a time frame.
So the rumor was verified by Andy himself.

Re: Resin figures... the COMPARISON

Hi fellow collectors....

look there still seems to be a great deal of confusion over the RESIN figures which K&C haven't produced... the same RESIN figures I purchased yesterday from the Military Workshop. SO here is a COMPARISON shot showing a normal metal K&C figure and one of the NEW RESIN figures in the "P" Cammo Paint style.... Yes that's right... the RESIN figure is on the right.... no no... not your right... my right.... right ? ^&grin

i'll be off now as i am getting married on saturday and my new soon to be wife tells me I can only play toy soldiers after my homework is done.... {sm2}

all the best
Marc

Sounds like Brett's holding out on 'the gang' again, he must have a secret stash of 'P'd up resin figures in that back room of his, typical. ^&grin I quite like the shading on the resin figure though, it makes him blend into the background a treat, can't wait to see the new resin AV's. I wonder if they'll match the figures:wink2:

Oh yeah, the cat survived....just, smells a bit like 'Twinings' Earl Grey though

Yes, great camouflage although Marc will have a heck of a job taking pic's of them and bringing out the detail...{sm2}:rolleyes2:{sm4}

So are you going to rename the cat "teabags" Toddy?

I think in all the stupidity in this thread this (what Gary and others have posted) is exactly what we should be discussing. Far from the nonsense of accusing some of rumour and wild speculation much of what has been said (by a few) is based on the fact that Andy has told a number of people what is going on including prices etc and, they have sadly, like fish women at the market, blabbed to ensure they have some position of ''knowledge''

The fact that empty boxes etc are being parodied and used as great humour by some just shows where we are.

There were no rumours it was all based on leaks by those unable to control and contain themselves when told to keep something to themselves.

The questions I asked earlier in this thread before it was tried to be derailed are still valid and I look forward to them being answered. Especially as they are valid in that they pertain to the future products that K&C will be releasing.

Congrats to all for allowing a number of people to be called and openly abused and mocked for raising issues which should have interested all in the hobby and, in future perhaps Andy should re write his list of who he wants to know his ''little secrets''
The worst kept non secret ever!!. shambolic!!
