I am slightly puzzled. What constitutes having left?? if its hiding ones identity then using PM as several have alluded to today as what is happening in relation to Rob then this thread is somewhat a farce. He has not left and I would bet my whole collection he never entertained the idea

Men often argue and that's what happens here and, with respect Rob has always gave as good as he gets. I also feel that comments like ''turkey's'' and ''nuts and bolts'' in a openly derogative manner is not helpful

After Christmas there was a very definite lull in proceedings. January simply dragged like a wet Wednesday in Wigan. Everything worth buying had been bought. Everything worth ogling had been ogled....twice.

Boredom reigned last month. I found myself becoming embroiled in open discussions (certainly not clandestine ones like those being mentioned) I should have shied away from and feel a bit ashamed about some of them. Last month was all a bit too fractious.

It's no excuse but I can see why sometimes things go west on here especially if you are not entirely happy with what is being served up to you but it is not really the fault of any one person. There are some genuine friendships that have been built on here and for some of the newer or less frequent members it can sometimes feel like you need to penetrate the to and fro of this kinship to have your voice heard. I have on occasion been too provocative in order for this to happen and I for one apologise to anyone I have offended, waynepoo (particularly waynepoo because he likes WW1 too!), Brett, Jazz and Rob. I never once vented my spleen via PM though. That is just plain 'unusual'.

But it's a new month now and a nice short one to boot, time to move on and embrace the new stuff.

I am confident that Rob will return and continue to participate here on the forum.

He will see that any threats he received by a pm should not put an end to a whole pile of fun and positive excitement that usually goes along with the hobby in general and in particular with active participating on a forum like this. The pm's in question should also just diminish compared to most likely 1000's and 1000's of pm's he received throughout the years with positive contents, questions and answers from many good fellow forum members.

At last, since it is now known that threats via pm's can be reported to be dealt with, that option should definitely be used.

Rob, take a break (but not too long), get some distance (but not too far), and then join in again to communicate with the bunch of us for who the Toy Soldier Hobby is an integral part of the daily business and just too much fun to enjoy it alone :wink2:

Start a thread about people who threatened Rob next,even better lets just kick people of the Forum Rob doesn't like is it a PUBLIC forum run by Treefrog,or is it Robs forum and only if you don't bag Rob (who dishes out as good as he gets) you can stay.
Don't rock the boat just agree with everything and don't have your own opinion,the sun come up this morning K&C thread still got started im sure K&C,s sales won't suffer so if Rob want's to take his bat and ball and go home fine life goes on.
Personally i will miss him even tho we clash argue don't see eye to eye that's what makes the world go around,you wouldn't have figures like these

Its not necessary to be contrary. we speak about what is placed in front of us. We have had two threads about threats or alleged threats from someone who says he gets them then does not then starts an old war from people not even on the forum then, gets a bit of stick from them and, then stomps out in the forum way of some and says Iam leaving but, hides his name and uses the PM while this ''please stay'' malarky is trotted out. I don't want to see anyone leave voluntarily or other but, its a bit strange when the issues at hand are ones that are self inflicted and caused by the poster.

As I said he gives as good as he gets so, all this melodrama from four threads is bizarre and, combats post sums up for me the whole bunch of threads which, many including long standing members also find very strange. If you can't stand the heat either leave the kitchen or, don't participate in the stuff you don't seemingly like thrown back at you.

Just as a point of clarification to Brad No I don't have a guilty mind. One occasion me and Rob exchanged words in PM over his conduct towards Neil was it and, there were no threats and, I am willing to show anyone the comments between us.

No school stuff here but, the implied intent behind the wording I mentioned was as clear as a bell on a forum where implied insult is not allowed and sanctioned by the mods and owners. It should apply to all not just some.

I agree totally that Rob should be here on the forum. I always considered him to be an integral part of this site and has been around as long as Treefrog Forum has been in existance !

I mean, come on. I think it's time for you lot to grow up and act like adults. Panzer Ace's signature has it right.

All this over toy soldiers. Amazing.

Rob seems to really be a nice guy and I'm sure that he his but he seem to be in everything.I don't care what thread you go to you will see a couple of posts in it from him.When you get in that many threads your bound to stir the pot a little.

I seriously doubt it is really about toy soldiers. Some people get along, some don't; some are reasonable, some aren't: some are nice, some aren't; Sharing an interest in a hobby doesn't mean you will magically get along. None of this is a mystery really.

Appreciate that Brad. My new years resolution as far as the forum goes is not to get into any confrontations here on the forum. There are a few individuals here that the Mod's did me a huge favor by blocking them from engaging me in conversation here on the forum. Ever since then everything has been quite pleasant.If it isn't about Toy soldier enjoyment, discussion of a new release, posting some pics to share and basically enjoy this forum as an extension from the hobby then I want no issues with any disgruntled individuals. Now..........Looking forward to The Texas Show in May ^&grin
