Although a number of other forum members like Wendy and Walt were awarded medals this year at the MFCA as well, I would like to give an extra mention to my friend Rod because he did not start painting until three years ago and the MFCA 2013 in Valley Forge was the first time he participated in a painting competition. I think that is an outstanding accomplishment. Congratulations to all!

Rod asked me to thank all of you for your very generous and kind comments on his work. He appreciates it a lot.

Rod does not use toy soldier forums/fora much these days, hence I encourage all of you to attend next year's MFCA show in Valley Forge (Philadelphia area) to meet him in person. And at the speed he is learning to paint, he might just bring another winner to the show.
