Nope. But we'll take the car mate...

That's it - diorama time for Jack. These things are fantastic. I have got to get me some of this action. (For those attuned to correct grammar and language use, I have intentionally used awkward phrasing for effect. I do that sometimes)

WOW!!!....Tom your diorama really kicks donkeys bottoms!!!!!!. Love the groundwork and how it flows into the backdrop. this is (i believe) how Deserts should be portrayed..all rough and gritty, and you have a great collection of Afrika Korps...well done.

Steve

Hello Tom:

Really splendid ground cover and backdrop! About how wide is your display area?

"Iron Brigade" / Gary

Really nice blend between foreground and background. This is surprisingly difficult with desert scenes. Well done.

One thought, not sure if the foreground and background can be moved relative to one another. If they can you might consider lowering the horizon on the low angled shots to help with perspective. The higher angled shots work wonderfully perspectively.

Looks pretty good. I was wondering what colors to use to better tie the base to the backdrop for a seamless look.{sm0}

Well done dio with the back drop and ground work.

Dear Tom:

Thanks for the data on the size of your great new diorama's display area. Certainly a fairly large area at about 36 x 17 inches! Well done!

"Iron Brigade" / Gary

Desert Dios are always spectacular, than again maybe it is the skill of the builder, as in this case. Great work Tom.

Although far from the level skill of most of you folks, if you put an object between the dio base material and the backdrop it tends to make color or texture variations less noticeable. For a woodland scene or a meadow, a stone wall works great, but for a desert scene I don’t know what would work well? -- Larry
