A section of Rebel smoothbores has rashly advanced beyond their infantry support and pays a heavy price.

Didn't get the lighting quite right on this one, washed out the blue sky background. :rolleyes2: Need some artillery casualties, hint to Ken. :wink2: Heard we are getting more troopers next yr. Maybe some with slouch hats. Chris

Nicely staged and told Chris and taking the time to share the event with us..............The Lt.

Thanks Steve, Martyn, and Joe. Good idea Martyn. :smile2: Chris

Hi Chris, makes a pleasant change to see a Cavalry charge in this period - very nice!

Jeff

Nicely done Chris . . . . nice to see some cavalry action . . . it sure would be nice if WB would release more mounted cavalry - both blue and gray. Looks like the Confederate infantry will soon take back their guns and drive those Yankees back where they came from . . . .
:smile2: Mike

Splendid action scene Chris with superb use of WB Union cavalry/Reb infantry

Your pictures remind me very much of Sheridan's attack on the Reb line at Opequon Creek September 1864. His First Brigade of cavalry captured a Confederate two gun battery and Early's infantry tried to recapture them but instead the Yankee cavalry continued the charge and sent Old Jube's boys "whirling back through Winchester"

But I bet you knew that all along ^&grin

Thanks Bob, have to work on the lighting effect a bit. Shot some pics of 2 Wisc vs 7 TN (with my new Reb figs) at Gettysburg but didn't turn out well and will have to redo the lot. The capture of Collier Redoubt at Opequon Creek might be your reference but I don't know what guns were there.

Thanks Mike, Ken told me we should get more troopers next yr. :smile2: Hoping to get some slouch hats in the mix. Would like to have more horse soldiers to make a really good dio.
Regards
Chris
