Samurai Collection (2 Viewers)

What an outstanding collection!Thank you for sharing it.Really impressive figures.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments!

Today here are some First Legion Samurai from the Takeda Clan!

The mounted cavalry are IMO one of the best figures released by any company!

This is a great collection. Thanks for sharing the photos!

I like your pictures. They are very clear. It's particularly helpful when looking at the FL pieces. You can really see what the figures look like in your photos in a similar way to member lenswerk's photos. FL's stock photos appear to have too much post-shoot processing applied.

Thanks Joe!

I should have probably taken the pictures with a white background so the figure could stand out more. I may do that with more pics of my Samurai.

I personally don't like a pure white background for miniatures, not at all. I like your photos just the way they are. There's a neat section in the Aeroart book about photographing miniatures that suggests using a blue or green background (even though Aeroart actually uses a different style of background w/ depth and tonal variation that works well). I sometimes use a deep green background, and I think it looks nice. Your pics are really sharp and I like them just as they are. :smile2: Thanks for sharing them. You have a lot of fine pieces in your collection.

I like the dark back as well. I use white, merely bc my light box came with it. Might look into buying black

I'll keep mu pictures with the dark background.

Here are First Legion's Nobunaga Clan figures...

Here are some plastic Samurai figures produced by Kaiyodo for the film Seven Samurai. There about 1/35 in size and pretty decent.

These were also released by Kaiyodo for the film Yojimbo. Bigger than the Seven Samurai figures these are about 1/28 scale. First pic is of the director Akira Kurosawa.

As you say, those plastic 7 figures are really well done. So much colour in your collection. Those horse are a stand out. Robin.
