Hey dudes check it out. Had the USS San Pablo dropped off at mi casa today by Chris Munro from the Soldier Gallery in Cambria CA. Have to give some big props to Chris Munro as the photos dont do this ship any justice. KGB was none too pleased that I picked her dresser as the spot to display this 40" long sucker(thats what she said). Makes for an awesome display, I count myself pretty lucky to have this in my collection.

KEEP IT SILLY

Excellent model.
Chris did some outstanding work here.
Congratulations to this fine addition to your collection, McKenna.

Wow...that's a beautiful piece...I saw it at the San Antonio show...HUGE is the word for this thing...did you get all the figures shown...

McKinna,

Just got back home after delivering your gun boat.
Thanks for your kind words and I'm so glad you like the boat.
After looking at your collection and meeting KGB (not her real name) I think it's time for another pole. This one will be titled "how tolerant is your spouse of your collection".
The scale will be 1-10, with of course 10 being the most tolerant.
Hope I'm not speaking out of turn but KGB gets a 12.
Great collection and super nice wife!

Thanks again,
Chris

Although somebody's beat me to it WOW,totally jaw dropping.
No you know if Chris ever finished his Tamai class Nile gunboat?

I think you should get a 12/10 for building an awesome model!

Wow, talk about push the boat out - displaying that on your wife's dressing table - your a hero Mackka  :D

Hi Guys,

Chris and his “American Model Dockyard” do some amazing work. At present we’ve got two “San Pablos” on order with him and eagerly look forward to setting one up in our store in Hong Kong.

We have one also in KINGS X in San Antonio. I can assure anyone who is thinking about adding one of these superb, hand-built models to their collection will not be disappointed!

Great work Chris… great acquisition “McKenna” and happy sailing to one and all,
Andy C.

Fantastic model chris. Something that I'd love to add to my wharf scene along with maybe a 'junk' and some triad/pirate opposition for the USN / USMC figures... yes a none too subtle hint, Andy.

:eek::eek:You are a very fortunate man. What a center piece for your collection. Superb job by the dockyard. I love the way they tied in the awnings. -- Al

Is she none too pleased because you put it on her dresser or because you purchased it? :D Anyway, congrats Chris.

Fantastic !
What is it made of, wood and metal, or some other material?

Walt

Chris

OUTSTANDING !

Great addition to your collection. I for one could never get that into my house on Capitol Hill - it is a monster !! Love it.

Great to see these items when they come out. Thanks.

Ron

Chris mate,
Fantastic boat. Superb craftsmanship. Looking forward to that big box arriving on my doorstep. Will look magic with the K&C Stream Launch and the up coming Pirate junk. Keep up the great work. Awaiting word on your next project.
Cheers Howard

That's a really impressive model. The K&C figures are fine and they really take on life when they have a ship under them! That craft catches the "feel" of the gunboat in the movie. You will have one impressive scene (if your wife lets you live long enough to enjoy it!)
