Sapper's collection (1 Viewer)

I find that hard to believe but yes it's a very colourful series. Haven't got a big collection of Crusaders as there was too much coming out at the time and I was never able to get back into them. Probably my biggest diorama in size with the least amount of figures. Regards Greg.

Greg...
such a nice collection to view this morning!
all of your stuff looks great...
and yes...
I think your photography skills are getting top notch...
thanks for sharing!

Thanks Mike for your kind comments. You would be like me ,anxiously waiting on more Conquistador releases to fill out your dioramas. The next one looks very impressive. Last night I was setting up hundreds of figures in the new Military Workshop premise, a task that was thoroughly enjoyable. That's what I like most about the hobby, creating a scene. Speaking about that, this is what I do with my figures that didn't make it into larger dioramas. Hope you like. Regards Greg.

Wow Greg didn't know you were so heavily into the Crusaders !:salute::

Is the siege engine handmade ? Looks good. :salute::

Good to see the FIW dioramas again.

Steve

Yes Steve, another one of those dreaded kits from China. Regards Greg.

You have placed extensive resources into the FIW Greg. You have once again done justice to another series. That ammunition wagon of John's is impossible to find these days. Luckily I have one, but I given up trying for a second one, they are rare. Robin.

Great scenes Greg, would be nice to have the space for all of that gear. And I look forward to checking out the new Military Workshop premises, I'll have more spare time to visit Brisbane next year. Meanwhile I'm selling off some of my collection to finance the upcoming K & C Aussie Vietnam sets, "the horror" {eek3}

I don't know whether you know the old shop Matt but the new premise gives Brett the dealer, the opportunity for a more functional set up. As for the old dilemma about space for one's collection, it's starting to be a problem with me too. My future collections will tend to be just adding to my existing series rather than starting new one's. But i can allways be swayed if a must have comes along. Regards Greg.

Thanks all for the interest and likes. Now for the Napoleonic period with two dioramas. A third diorama with massed troops of the final battle is still under construction and will be displayed next month. Regards Greg.

Very impressive. It's great to see the older FWI sets used so well.Your Napoleonice are very well done too.

It has been said several times here on this forum that our Aussie brothers do some of the best work when it comes to dioramas and displaying their collections.

Greg, your collection is quite exceptional and I continue to be awed with every new posting of pics that you do.

Congratulations on amassing such a multi-faceted collection of various eras.

Your displays are beautiful and are probably the envy of all who see them.

Thank you so much for sharing all this with us.

Mark

Thanks Mark and Tony for the kind remarks. I would agree that Aussie collectors are passionate about the hobby and contribute more than their fair share in displaying their creative dioramas on the forum. There are quite a few outstanding contributors amongst them but no better than any where else. The challenge in the future for the hobby is whether it will sustain itself with rising costs and collector numbers remaining. Best not to think too far ahead as it can become quite worrying. More dioramas to come and thanks for the encouraging support. Regards Greg.

Well done Greg and many thanks for featuring so many of our K&C 'Napoleonics' in your displays...

Re 'Challenges in the hobby'... I'm generally positive about the future going forward...The issue of 'Rising Costs' has always been out there, but speaking on K&C's behalf, of late I think there has been a degree of stabilisation and even some reductions in certain cases.

Collectors numbers do fluctuate, certainly in Europe and the States...But in Australia and Asia I see substantial growth and growing enthusiasm and that is very encouraging!

Going forward, I agree it's best not to worry too much about the mid to long term future...That will take care of itself...Here at K&C I Just keep my head down, get on with my work, enjoy what I do and have fun while I'm doing it!
Maybe not the greatest philosophy in the wonderful world of toy soldiers...but it works for me.

Very best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy.

Nice to hear your positive reflections on our hobby Andy and i'm confident collectors will continue to purchase the outstanding variety of products available
these days. A lot of King and Country dioramas coming along soon, hope you tune in. Regards Greg.

G'day Greg,
Many thanks for your rapid response.
When it comes to 'tuning in' on Treefrog...I'm never backward about coming forward!!!
Looking forward to what you have up your sleeve...
All the best and happy collecting,
Andy.
