Hi Guys, hi Mitch,

Just a couple of wee points on your post…

1.“I know you as a manufacturer don’t like critique…”
Personally Mitch I welcome constructive criticism – it’s both helpful and useful. And I get it all the time.

2.“Stirring things up…”
Now really my friend coming from your good self that really is a bit rich.

3.“Responding”
As you know Mitch you and me have disagreed on a number of issues over the years.

Most of the time I keep my own counsel and let you guys say whatever you like. Occasionally I do venture forth into the arena when I feel it’s necessary… and I want to.
Some folks however like to make all kinds of statements and comments on all manner of things but do not like it if the subject of the said statement or comment comes back with a reply that goes counter to their own opinion.

4.“Spitfire Grey’…
No, the colour won’t be changed because I happen to believe that we’ve got it right… and you’ve got it wrong!

5.“Moving Up The Ranks…”
Congratulations on being a “Brigadier General”… I am just a lowly “Sergeant”. Tell me my friend how many posts does it take to attain such a high rank? It’s a question I’ve been asked by many and would like to know myself.

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Andy...

The colourway of the spitfire is not only my way of thinking its others who are also well versed in the history and disposition of this aircraft. So, you decide to do it your way thats your perogative it does not however mean that you are correct in either comment.

As for the rest its very childish and immature really so, I have no comment to make. I will leave it upto the little rah Raher's to praise you for such comments. The only part I will say is that you do have a tendancy to post a comment like you have with the end of the toy soldier industry and then, (like you did many times responding to Brads concerns over another issue) follow it up with a comment purely aimed at instigating a fight and, thats what I thought here.

Always a pleasure to hear your responses
Mitch

Well Andy first of thank for your reply but less your spitfire Mk 9 is painted dark sea grey on the upper surface it wrong just check the world wide web but your spitfire will fit in well with your blue and yellow 1950/1940 fuel truck

Andy mate just make sure you get the paint job on the STUKA right ok.........................^&grin

Andy your products are the best in the market for variety and detail, plus your time table is like a machine for releases. Always hoping you have your nose to the grind stone producing more wonderful sculpts ( IC hint), rather than being distracted. Here in Australia with have the Tall Poppy Syndrome, meaning anyone that's successful will always attract someone trying to knock them, so it goes with the territory you move in. Best of luck for the future, you are making mine brighter, cheers, Robin.

OK, we are going to talk about cooking!!!!

Being from Germany as with all Europeans, I am a great lover of Goose. I do not use sauce however. But I do save the fat for reuse in cooking. I prefer to prepare my Goose fried in orange sauce, as I was taught by a fine Chinese chef many years ago with Duck. IT IS TO DIE FOR.

However, the culinary delight of the past few days included once again, USDA Aged to perfection by yours truly and marinated by and rubbed with Ludwig's especial BBQ rub.....Ribeye Steaks!! Also Ludwig's Jalapeno's stuffed with shrimp and cream cheese. SO SWEET!!!!!

You must have very high cholesterol, but it looks delicious. What kind of beer do you drink to make it even more tasty ^&cool

Jazz, Believe it or not my Doctor states I have the most perfect cholesterol level he has ever seen. I guess I was lucky. Now my favorite beer is Weihenstephaner.....but this fine day we had a Mexican Beer from Mazatlan called Pacifico de Clara. This is a great beer. Outclasses Corona in my opinion. This is Ludwig's new fav here in the Americas.

Thanks,

Ludwig:)

Ludwig,

You are lucky to have good cholesterol. Re: Corona, I think most Mexicans consider that swill although I still like it on occasion. Coincidentally I had picked up some Pacifico recently. I like it although still prefer the German beers.

Brad, Of course there are no other beers to compete with those at home in Bayern. But when in Rome one must sample the wares!!

Life is too short to eat bad food and drink bad beer or wine!!!...or fight over trivialities!!

Let us talk about great soldiers, history...what dioramas we are working on or dreaming of:)

I noted that Mitch described most of the above comments as being "very childish and immature". However I view them as a reasoned response to Mitch, who as some of us know makes money from repairing and repainting models made by King & Country, Figarti etc.

Jack, if you cannot appreciate the way I was trying to help the thread not go into a tizzy....................then that is OK.

..if you are upset because you cannot BBQ as good as me:p......I will be glad to teach you some time.

Just stop bull dozing around because some people are scrutinizing something. It all started with members that were upset with the Spitfire grey. No big deal.

Now have a good day. I want no anger with you. :)

Ludwig

"Help the Thread" Give me a break, more like stir the possum as we say in Oz.

No sweat. I do not like animosity thrown my way either.

Let us be friends man. Sorry if I have upset anyone.

I really tried to stop the whole goose gander thing from going south man. I did put my opinion though that the paint color is wrong. I think it is important to those that want that Spitfire and for the sake of the flying ace. KC is dead wrong on the color man.

It's interesting that the eveyone is going by the colour only seen on the promo pics instead of waiting until the plane is in their hands before commenting, in the past the promo pics have proven to be taken under conditions that shows colour to be slightly darker or lighter. I would think it would be wiser to have a plane in hand and then make a judgement. Not that anyone should care what I think.
