Great pix, Mike and I am inspired!

I've just received a couple more SOHK sets today. No room for them in my current set up though. Will have to get cracking with building the next part of my port town. Anyway, a couple more pix from my setup

Julian I really like your display also and I am glad you are sharing it with us on this thread. Your buildings are amazing and their 3-D format adds alot of depth to your diorama. I am still at the beginning stages of my SOHK collection so your pier area has alot more hustle and bustle going on than mine does. Keep posting - we all enjoy your photos.

Your Chinese city is absolutely outstanding and I love the feel of its hustle and bustle. Everything looks spot on. Is that some of the Magic Water for your harbor? I have a great idea for an addition to your splendid setup. I recall a similar marching scene in the Sand Pebbles:

That marching scene is very nice looking and its a great idea. I don't have any of the USN005 Sailors Marching yet though.

Randy the "water feature" is another one of my photography experiments. Its actually a photograph of water from a Chinese water front picture that I downloaded from a web search. I cropped the water part out of the rest of the original picture and just printed it on semi-gloss photo paper. Seems to work well . . . . . . Mike

You don't often see too many SOHK sets on ebay or at shows however.

Arnold Meade of "America in Miniature" did a series of China Marines quite a few years ago. His series included Peking Legation Guard Marines, a Band to match and even included some Mounted China Marines. They came in greens and barracks covers, overcoats with the fur caps and also dress blues. I am always interestde in purchasing these sets - as well as any other Marine Corps sets/figures - for my collection if anyone has any.

I have "America in Miniature" marines at the double time from the turn of the century, and mounted Marines in Nicaragua from circa 1928. If I can find them, I will forward some photos to Brad to post for me.
