Scenes of 1920s-30s China (2 Viewers)

This is a wonderful thread !!!!! Randy & Mike you guys are playing nicely off of each other.

Great stuff :)

Great looking photo Randy and a nice continuation of the story - makes me feel as if I am right on the pier. Mainland China - now where is this story going to go. I definately need more figures!!!

So do I. For me my TS budget will have to make this the proverbial slow boat to China.

I wish we had some sailors working on the dock/jetty loading and unloading cargo, for example, and we certainly need some having fun in a local bar:D
How about a Dragon Lady figure straight out of Terry & The Pirates? What do you think Andy ?

"Searching for Clues"

Using shallow draft steam launches, squad size landing parties of the 4th Marines patrol the Yangtze River searching for clues and information that might help in locating the missing sailor. Here an armed steam launch approaches a Chaguan (tea house) called the Garden of Lingering Happiness. It has been long suspected that this is a front for the black market and smuggling.

This is your masterpiece. Superior linking of "water" under the boat and what is in the photo backdrop.

A super job!

That scene is exactly the kind I was thinking of when I described it to you. My set will be here next week. So stay tuned.

Glad you are keeping the thread going.

"Meanwhile . . . . . "

While the US Navy is intensifying their investigation the rest of the international community is becoming more vigilant. All of the Legations have increased their security at their compounds. A British sailor gets a "spit shine" before going back to his gunboat, while another sailor stands guard at the British Consulate's gateway.
