I had thought about the Karl etc series of heavy field artillery but, when Rick mentioned that it would be a good price I dismissed them as they would surely cost a fortune. Would be nice to have though as, compared to the rail gun these could be used with other AFV's on a dio

Rick said we would be shocked by the affordability and there's more than one, which suggests something that builds a scene, not just one huge item that brings a lot of oohs and aahs. Separately, they may be affordable, together, well we'll soon find out ;)

The Karl would be really cool!!! If not that, how about a US M19 tank transporter carrying a captured Jagdtiger tank back from front!!!

Dragon made the series of Karl guns in 1/35 , there very nice & I'm lucky to have them in my collection

Well guys, in a week and 6 hours we'll know for sure! I'm looking forward to seeing Rick and the Figarti crew again. Even without the shock and awe piece his talks are very fun and informative.

Hey Mitch,

You know in the past Rick has always had at least two new upcoming items shown here on the forums just before the show to whet everyone's appetite. So far this year only one the L 70, so I wonder Rick....any more new items to show this year before the show??:D:D

Bill....

That would be nice but, what would be good if all the manufacturers put up their own chicago releases on their respective sites so, everyone can see them and, not just the lucky ones who get to the show.

I want to, I really do, but can't because if I show some of the items, it will give away the surprise!

I'll make sure we try to post photos right after the launch (Lunch).

As I did last year I will have my Blackberry with me and will post as things happen. I will try to take photos with the BB and send them to Rob for posting.

I agree, Mitch. One would think it would certainly be of great benefit to the manufacturers to have their websites and their dealer's websites launch preorders for the "big bang" stuff essentially simultaneously upon unveiling in IL. Perhaps the logistics of doing so would be a nightmare, but the manufacturers would most likely see a spike in increased sales, compared to prior years, by those of of us hitting the "add to cart" button upon first glance at some of the beauties that are perennially shown in Chicago. It's hard to fight off the initial impulse to buy after feeling that initial rush you get from seeing some of these creations for the first time! I think shrinking the window of time between product debut and the ability to actually order some of these pieces would be of great benefit to all parties.

Anyways, the time has almost arrived! I'm looking forward to this more than ever, and I'm not even going to be one of the lucky ones in attendance! For all of those going, have a great time!

Joe
