The Armor and Figures of TCS and K&C are very compatible when combined in a Diorama. The photo shows the TCS Kingtiger with the K&C Jagdpanther in a Winter setting. The Figures are a combination of TCS and K&C intermingled. The K&C Panzer Kommander fits perfectly into the TCS Kingtiger.DSCF3050.JPG

Very nice photo. Think the best you've done so far.

TCS and First Legion are at least compatible with their own figures. TCS is 1/28 in both armor and figure scale and FL is 1/30 in both armor and figure scale for WWII. Other lines vary. TCS, Conte, TG and FL Romans are all size compatible. FL, Figarti and TG Armor are size compatible; but K&C varies. The K&C Winter Jagdpanther BBG-072 is 1/30; but the Kingtiger BBG-016 is 1/28 about the same size as the TCS Kingtiger. Very strange size variation IMO!

Not all TCS AFV are 1/28 some of the earlier Tigers are 1/30 and K&C did two KT's one would be 1/30 the other might not be 1/28

The K&C Porsche Turret Kingtiger is 1/30 scale and some comments on the Forum at the time of its release indicted dissatisfaction at the small size in relation to the oversize figures. The next K&C Kingtiger was the Henschel Turret version and the size increased to 1/28 scale; about the same size as the TCS Kingtiger, which was more size compatible with the figures. I agree that the first TCS Tiger I was 1/30 scale and the later versions are 1/28 scale to better match the oversize figures from TCS, K&C and TG.

Doubt it.. TCS WW2 Germans are taller and thicker than FL germans.. If TCS made the same size as first legion, we would have almost everything we need!!

What I said was that both TCS and FL figures and armor are size compatible within the respective companies; not with each companys WWII products. TCS figures and armor are 1/28. FL are 1/30. I agree it would be great for collectors if all the Toy Soldier manufacturers made their products in the size/scale they advertise. FL, WB and Kronprinze are the only true 60mm WWII figure manufacturers. FL, Figarti and TG are the only 60mm Armor manufacturers. K&C and TCS have made armor in a wide range of scales from 1/32 to 1/28.

TCS and K&C have been very close in size with each other IMO, at least as far as WWII is concerned !

I agree about WWII figures; but K&C armor has ranged from 1/32 to 1/28 scale. TCS armor has been consistent at 1/28 scale, except for the first Tiger I.

I will Stop buying TCS if they reduce the scale of their products to match the small First Legion size.

Matt,

have to agree with you on that one. I currently buy TCS because it's 1/28 and in scale with K&C and TGM figures

Only TCS WWII figures are 1/28. The Roman figures are 1/30. Several manufacturers have different scales in different lines. TG is another example; WWII figures are 1/28 (65-68mm) and Romans are 1/30 (58-62mm). Ditto K&C. Make no since why one line is larger than the others IMO.

K/C made two King Tigers ....The first one was 1:32 smaller with the Porche turret and the second was 1:30th Henshel turret.....K/C figures are generaly 1:28th scale thus are compatible with TCS......Neither are compatible with FL or Figarti Armour which are 1:30th

The best armor available in true 1/30 scale as measured is made by FL, Figarti, TG, Honor Bound and Eagle Design. Other manufacturers are either 1/32 or 1/28 or vary in their armor scale over time. K&C can be anywhere between 1/32 and 1/28 depending upon when it was made.

A 1/30 scale Kingtiger hull should measure 9.5 inches long and 4.9 inches wide. The K&C BBG 016 Kingtiger measures 10.5 inches long and 5.0 inches wide. Significantly larger than 1/30 scale and about the same size as the TCS Kingtiger; both go wonderfully with the 1/28 scale figures. A Figarti Kingtiger, if it ever appears will be the first accurate 1/30 scale Kingtiger and it should be size compatible with FL figures in both size and quality, as is other Figarti armor IMO.

Please TCS, make your ww2 the same size as FiRST LEGION!

You might have to take ED out out that list as, if I remember correctly, King Tiger and VW Beetle are both 1:28, not 1:30. But I guess I digress.
