Mike
A little charmer that !
What a versatile display it makes and gives me thought for a future project to make one myself.

Steve

Mike, looks real goos and you're already getting lot's of use from your diorama.
Steve

Always enamored of your water features, Mike. Is the wooden base custom construction or some sort of picture frame?

thank you Moe...the wooden base is a frame I make to keep them sturdy...
it's made of miter cut baseboard...glued...nailed...sanded...stained and high gloss urethaned...
I put thick masonite board on the bottom...then paint it black...so it won't look cheap and will be ultra durable......

Very nicely done Michael . . . . very versatile . . . .
:smile2: Mike

I like this! The wood base you set this in really adds to the dio. Your water based themes always impress. Chris

Incredible, Mike,simply Incredible!

You are certainly have tremendous talent when it comes to building such detailed and multi-functional diorama sets.
The trees are the same as in the TWO dioramas that brought from you.
Can you say what they are and where they came from?

Super job, Mike.

I think the high gloss wood frame makes a more attractive shelf display...
like for an office of home display...

thank you Larry...

yes...they are the same as in the two dios you bought from me...

the trees are from Grand Central Gems...

here is the link...

http://www.grandcentralgems.com/scale-model-trees.cfm

they are lodgepoles...
these are mediums...
they have some as large as 16-18 inches...
I bought these a long time ago...
and by looking at the prices...
I think they have gone up considerably...
I also remember I got a better price as I bought in bulk...

If there was a "Grand Master" class for creation of dioramas, you would certainly be in it !

Everything you do turns out so well...the vibrant colours in your photos are exceptional.

Thank you for posting.

Agree with others here Mike, anything you do is museum quality. A great advertisement for John's work. Robin.

Been a while since I saw one of your beaut trademark dio's Mike and it's been worth the wait! Very nice and I love the varnished timber edging which is something I don't do on my dioramas.

Tom

Excellent piece of work.Reminds me of the early FIW scenes which you used to do.Well done that man.

I really like how you've layered your foliage to hide your bases Mike and those pine trees are something else!

thank you Ivanhoe...
Robin...
Tom...
Giovanni...
Tony...
