Hi Guys,

Here's a couple of pix of the Briscoe Museum's Alamo display... Enjoy!

Andy C.

P.S. There's a whole lot more but this will give you a rough idea.

Fantastic, what a scene. Wonderful hours of fun with that one I imagine! Congrats to you and Gordon Andy, terrific layout. Thanks for posting.

Now that's a DIO,well done to Gordon,Andy and all who else assisted BRILLIANT.

That is a shame - I am currently working on a dio that looks just like this one. I will have to do something else now!

Gives a whole new perspective that I had not pictured before. It really does convey the overwhelming odds against the defenders who really had no chance.

This could help out us NAP collectors make bigger displays or at least do a complete firing line without breaking the bank.

Simply Awesome and truly beautiful. "The" Diorama of all Alamo Diorama's !!! {bravo} Looks like this will be a definite "Must See" stop for collectors attending the 2014 Texas Toy Soldier Show :salute::

Well i would see what the prices are first Terry mate before you put your order in mate {eek3}:rolleyes2:

Must have been a monumental task setting up all those figures Andy, but what fun!

Can't wait to see resin WW2 fighting figures and how they may make it easier to produce larger scenes. D day, Alamein, Arnhem, any of these battles could really benefit from extra figures.

Why so negative mate,i reckon its a brilliant idea by K&C obviously there going to be cheaper otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Wayne...

I think the daft way that this plastic thing has been leaked by those who could not control themselves has caused the most problems. I think it raises more questions than it answers. For sure they are supposed to be cheaper but, with the information that has come through some from the ones who want to be in the know but are not and those who do know but, as I said should have kept stum its all speculation with facts thrown in.

I think price and how they will market them is important and it may have been better to have just announced them in full than the drip feed stuff that has come through in the last several weeks.

For me, it has to be a restricted range or else it will devalue and dilute people's metal spending. On doing AFV's I asked if they are in a different medium then why buy the more expensive ones as they will have to have clearer tracks than the ones coming out now as there is no need to add all the ''protection'' around them. Why buy an expensive £250 AFV if a alternative is available

I think its time that K&C just said this is what it is

Mate of what i can remember Andy saying they are doing it for the purpose of mass displays etc,so you don't have to spend a fortune on multiples say of LAH marching figure,i don't recall anything said about AFV,s.
Oh well time will tell ive to much other stuff to worry about mate.

I really like what I see in the pictures. It is certainly an event that lends itself to the massed ranks that cheaper figures permit. In a broader sense it might be that 'mirage' that we have long discussed - a cheaper entry point into the hobby. Good to see some change being discussed. It has been a quiet few weeks on the Forum and this will certainly generate some discussion, both now and when they are released. Quality and price will be interesting, although I think the biggest issue for someone like me will be how well they blend in with the metal figures. I have high hopes for them. Interesting times!

Well let wait and see mate but like Andy said wages in China are going up all the time so painting the figures will be no cheaper than painting metal ones and if there that cheap why will anyone pay £55.00 for metal figures ?

Very good point Mitch

Wayne...

I am going by (on AFV's) what I was told by two people who spoke with Andy at Chicago and were told Plastic AFV's who I have no reason to believe make up stuff or embellish to look better.

I sold/swapped about a third of my LAH collection and will eventually reduce it further so, even a release of plastic marching would not entice me. I just don't want plastic figures but, it will be interesting to see what courses they take upon release
