You can thank the Spanish referee for that. Spain stikes again!

Looks like Germany could be in some trouble since you assume that Ghana will pick up some points from Australia and Serbia the same when they meet the Aussies. That could leave Germany a tough match with Ghana to move on.
 
Nice game by Serbia. The Germans failed to convert their chances and they had several. Next up, USA, USA, USA! -- Al
 
Yo Troopers, did say it in an earlier thread, waiting for the CLOWN referees to appear. This guy could have cost Germany its World Cup chance, he was a total disgrace, two players trip over each other one gets booked, then two minutes later is sent off for an ordinary looking tackle, it is after all a contact sport. Then a Serb Vidic deliberately hand balls in the penalty area, there is only one decision he gets a red card, What does the CLOWN do gives him a yellow. Hope FIFA sack him after this performance and hope Germany can recover to go through they fought like lions. Hope the USA win 4-0 come on you Yankees.

Ridiculous number of yellow cards, especially in a clean game. The referee was horrible and should have been chosen as the most valuable player of the match. The first yellow card to Klose was undeserved, but the second yellow card was earned. Only a problem because of the first foul.

I think Germany still outplayed Serbia even down a man, but today was not their day. Too many missed scoring chances.

Now Germany is in a position where they have to beat Ghana and by a few goals, but won't have Klose, their best scorer for that game.

2 nil. He will be insufferable. What can you say though. He and his country have earned the right.
 
I still don't know enough about this game to pick out the differences between real good play and just average play but I can tell this, Slovenia is outplaying the US and has taken advantage of it's chances while the US has not. Same old story in any sport... those who want it most. -- Al
 
Another ref's bad call and the US is tied instead of winning. What a great game. Night and day for the US. Great 2nd half, terrible 1st half. All adds up to another tie. At least it was an exciting tie. -- Al
 
Nothing wrong with that last goal, the USA were ripped off because several Slovenian players held US players back.
